Xtorrent 2.0 (v83) (Mac OS X)

Waste of energy....

Throttles your download to nearly unusable speed. Knowing full well that the reason for torrents is for faster DLs....this app drops the DL speed to near dial-up speed. Both a waste of time and energy. You have to keep your machine on constantly to get large files. Also....I couldn't find out what files were being uploaded....and from where but in a week, over a gig of uploads occurred....if people have access to my computer, shouldn't I know where they have access to? Shouldn't I be able to SEE what is being uploaded by file name and path? [alert admin]

TechTool Pro 5.0.4 (Mac OS X)

Bypass this nightmare...

Never had an issue with v.4.x. Bought V.5, ran all the checks, probes, tools and now a once speedy MacBook Pro AND a Mac Pro take twice as long to boot than before I "Optimized" my files/folders etc. Unless you REALLY need to try to salvage a drive...you're better off backing up your data, wiping the drive and reinstalling the OS and apps and pulling your data back over and your machine wont slow down. As for their idiotic update practices....they are pretty much the WORST company in history for what they charge for mere point updates and similar practices. I did buy it with the current MacUpdate bundle for $49.95 so I got a deal....as well as the latest Parallels...these are the full versions...no neutering... [alert admin]

Microsoft Messenger 7.0.2 (Mac OS X)

It HAS video and audio...when used in corporate environ

And apparently Iceman has been locked in cold storage too long because Yahoo now has voice support and you can call peoples land line or cell phones as well. Microsloth is well aware of the other offerings for consumer chat on the Mac. They chose to upgrade the corporate side for companies running their communication server and the features nearly match that of the Windows side of things....and since these folks actually PAY for the server software, it's worth it to Microsloth to keep the corporate peeps happy while using their Macs... Start Menu 1.0 (Mac OS X)

Here's a better idea....

"Then you'll be able to browse the list of all installed Applications and run what you need with a single mouse click - like you do in Windows. Click the program icon to show the menu." Since it's THREE mouse clicks to launch a Windows app, once to click the Start, once to click Programs and once to click the app...two if it's in the top level of the Start menu...and the same for this add-on. If you have the app in the Dock, it's one click... Better solution, open Finder, drag Applications to the right side of the divider, then set the display options to Folder and List view and HOLY CRAP....it's free and isn't an Add-On...single-click the Apps folder, scroll to your app and launch. DONE.... [alert admin]

Apple Logic Pro 8.0.1 (Mac OS X)

No idea...

Someone at Apple must have messed up as this has been out for a while as already noted. Maybe 8.0.2 was slated for release...and they didn't update versioning on VT [alert admin]

Beware of this install

The geniuses replaced my Menu bar PLIST and I lost my clock, eject button as well as several other Apple menu items. All third party menu items are still there... [alert admin]

BSOD! 1.0.1 (Mac OS X)

It's nice and all but......

Should be called ScreenUserUpper not Screensaver. Unless you have your monitor set to sleep after a few minutes...this will COOK the image into the CRT and even some LCDs. [alert admin]

RAFBrowse 0.2.3 (Mac OS X)

Well you have the Preferences...

In the right spot. Nothing to alter however. I'd move your "About" back where it belongs....under the Application Icon on the menu bar. http://developer.apple.com/business/aida.html [alert admin]

Credit for completing races?

Well any game update released in late October that is not rated for 10.6 would be questionable at best in my view.

I find the $25.00 upgrade excessive and I won't be upgrading.

Yes, it throttles down non-Pro users to a nearly unusable DL speed. What I found disconcerting is the upload. There is no indication of any shared folders on my machine yet over 1 gig of files were uploaded. From WHERE?!?!? Private data? My desktop? I cant find any information on how to unshare my hard drive.

Perhaps I don't get it...

Yeah that whole clicking and reading is such a drain. Why can't I have a courier just drive to my house with all the answers I need? What with typing and then moving my eyes 1 degree to the right to read something...I need to rest. Perhaps your head would explode if you had to pick up a book, turn the pages to the area of the word you're looking for, then scan up and…

Entertaining. Well Done.

So if you want to print the control list...why cant you? Open the manual, File>Print page 9..done. Not sure why its a con of the game if you cant figure out how to print stuff.

cheaper than a year of therapy

That's what a $14.95 tuner is for. Available from most music stores. There is no miracle software that can fix the inability to hear when a guitar or vocal is causing dogs to howl.

Still waiting for Apple to add Panasonic Lumix DMC LX-1

Posting the same thing three times....well I guess it could be like Dorothy clicking her heels three times to get back to Kansas....or to get support for your cam. In most of ALL Apple apps are feedback menu items. iPhoto for instance has under the iPhoto icon menu, "Provide iPhoto Feedback item than when clicked, takes the clickee to the Apple feedback page where Apple DOES sit and read the submissions. Good luck...

Running fine on MacBook Pro....v.2.0.6 is Universal. Do a Get Info on the plug-in to verify you have 2.0.6 loaded. 2.0.5 was PPC only.

Close, but no cigar

.ASP files are associated with Apple System Profiler. You have to change the ASP files that download to open Citrix...in the Get Info dialog, Open with: change to Citrix then Change All button.
