Wireshark 1.2.3 (Mac OS X)
Does it work on 10.5.8 with a G5 Power PC
Last time I installed this, it hosed my system and I had to restore from backup. I'd like to know whether others have had success? [alert admin]

Retrospect 8.1.526 (Mac OS X)
Retrspect Restore fails on PowerPC with "can't write, error -1002 ( unknown) MapError: unknown"
Have upgraded by version 6 to 8.1.526 now that it has been released for PowerPC. Backup runs, verify succeeds, but on large Sources with many, large files, the Restore repeatedly fails with "can't write, error -1002 ( unknown) MapError: unknown Mac error -5000" in the log. Anyone seen this and devised a workaround? [alert admin]

Retrospect 8.1.150 (Mac OS X)
Windows client time reporting error
With my Retrospect 6.1 system, my windows client shows the clock alignment to be -0:02, but with Retrospect 8, with the same Retrospect Client 7.6.107 on the same Windows client, the clock difference is shown as 35998 seconds. That corresponds to the +10 hour timezone, minus the 0:02 reported by Retrospect 6.1 Seems like Retrospect 8 doesn't account for the timezone with the Windows Client. Anyone else seem this? Leopard Cache Cleaner 4.0.26 (Mac OS X)
When run as root it goes 100% cpu
I logged on (from the GUI) as root, so that I could see the ENTIRE filesystem on my machine and ran LCC Clamav virus scan. It didn't matter whether I chose to scan a folder or a single text file containing only "hello", it just sits there 100% forever and a day. I run 10.5.7 on a dual 1.6GhZ PMacG5 machine with 3GB RAM. When I run as a user with admin privileges, it's just fine! [alert admin]

EyeTV 3.1.2 (Mac OS X)
Permissions prevent execution by non admin users
I had to go into the EyeTV folder in Applications and "chmod -R o+rx EyeTV.app" to enable ordinary users (those without admin group membership) to run this. [alert admin]

Adobe Camera Raw 5.4 (Mac OS X)
For previous versions, I just put the Camera Raw plug-in into the Plug-ins/FileFormats file of PhotoShop Elements 6 and Adobe Bridge CS. However, this latest updater requires me to run a Setup.app which then refuses to proceed because I don't have "Adobe Camera Raw" installed! What's going on here? [alert admin]

Drive Genius 2.1.1 (Mac OS X)
I don't know what's happened, but DG used to be super reliable. Nowadays, on my PMacG5 dual 1.8Ghz 3GB machine, it takes several launch attempts before it survives. Then, when it resizes, it doesn't properly resize the filesystem. All a bit troubling. Anybody else having this bother? [alert admin]

Apple Digital Camera Raw Compatibility 2.4 (Mac OS X)
Why don't Apple just fix the bundle version number?
Folks, I don't think this is a VersionTracker problem. If Apple were just to embed the same version number in the .plist for the bundle (2.09 or whatever), as the advertised version number (2.4 or whatever), then we could all avoid this annoying problem. Anyone from Apple listening? [alert admin]

My belief is that this is not an application bug, but a QuickTime bug. iPhoto exhibits the same problem when rotating images.

Have you tried running as a user with admin group membership? I found that I had to run as an admin and go in to the EyeTV folder on Applications and "chmod -R o+rx EyeTV.app" to ensure that non-admin users could run the application.

Re: Cannot log on to support E-mail Support or Support History
Right. Now that I know I'm not totally crazy! I created a new account using one of my other email addresses and created the trouble ticket. I just need to make sure it is matched up with my VT account though!

Re: Cannot log on to support E-mail Support or Support History
Well, er, not quite! I click "My Support History". Under, "If you have forgotten your password, I enter my email address (the same one registered with Versiontracker) and click "email me my password", the support server says that "The user ID you supplied does not appear to be valid", so I click Back. Then, under returning users, I supply my email address, leave the password field blank, and click Login. The support server announces that…

This is because Apple didn't properly update the Bundle versio numer in the info.plist file for their published version 2.1, thus confusing the installer. Hopefully, version 2.2 will have fixed this.

Apple Digital Camera RAW Support - Mac OS X
Yes, this is because Apple didn't properly update the Bundle version number in the info.plist file inside the package, thus confusing the installer about whether this version is required. Hopefully, v2.2 will fix this.

My “friends on the VersionTracker team”...
Yes, this is appalling. I have the same problem. And whilst this is sorted out, VT is unusable, since it refuses to work unless I delete back to three computers or less. Man or man, this used to be a good service. Now, I don't know.
