SyncBar 0.2.1 (Mac OS X)

Won't work with Snow Leopard

I'd really like to see this work under Snow Leopard...but it doesn't. Every time it syncs it beach-balls iSync. [alert admin]

Syncman 1.1 (Mac OS X)

If you use Gmail...you need SyncMan

Every so often an application comes along that actually changes your life...or at least makes your life easier and you wonder how you ever lived without it. SyncMan is one of those rare one-trick ponies that does exactly what it's created to do...perfectly! As do many, I rely heavily on Gmail but I hate how it automatically adds contacts for every sent email, like replying to a support message, etc. No one wants all that stuff in their contacts...we generally want the same contacts in Gmail that are in our desktop Address Books. SyncMan does this...and does it either in a completely automatic mode at any schedule you want, or you can monitor various things and manually confirm them (you will be in the auto mode very soon when you see how accurate SyncMan is). My sincere thanks to the folks at Wateree Software, who have developed this gem and who are kind enough to even answer emails, should you need to talk to them. [alert admin]

If some developer could take the good things from both this and CopyPaste Pro and use the great GUI of…

Better than, "Okay for free"

Perfectly said! Many of us just want something to change the color of a simple background image, etc....not professionally edit photos. This is a great little app for those looking for an image editor that follows the KIS principle. Larry

Warning. Yojimbo "Known Issue"

BareBones software can say what they want...but this is THEIR problem, not that of the OS. I've installed several applications that automatically put a Sync entry in .Mac (MobileMe) and doing a complete uninstall with something like AppZapper has always removed the Sync entries. The other one I've found to be just as reticent is Mark/Space Notebook...it will also not go away. That said, there truly is nothing you can do about this…

No longer needed

Thanks so much for your comments about Skitch...I never knew it existed. I just downloaded it and now I can't believe I ever lived without it. Probably the single most amazing application I've ever used! Absolutely unbelievable.
