Adobe Flash Player 10.0.0.525 (Mac OS X)
Much faster on dual-core machines
Wow! Complex flash programs run at least 30% faster on version 10. [alert admin]

HenWen 2.1.2 (Mac OS X)
Unfortunately, the author says: "I have no plans to update HenWen." I guess it's back to Snort with the CLI. :( [alert admin]

HenWen 2.1.2 (Mac OS X)
Currently not compatible with Intel Macs.
I've sent a note to the author to see if he plans on updating for Intel. It doesn't currently work under Rosetta. [alert admin]

Really really nice on a MacBook Pro. [alert admin]

Broken Display 1.0 (Mac OS X)
Yeah, read the author's description. This thing is beastly slow even on a brand new MacBook Pro. I'm not sure why Apple's RSS reader can be so snappy while doing lots of stuff while this saver is so slow doing almost nothing. [alert admin]

Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy 1.0.1e (Mac OS X)
I'm going to play it again now that it is UB!
This is a great game. It's gonna positively scream on a MacBook Pro. [alert admin]

Retrospect 6.1.126 (Mac OS X)
Not really developing for the Mac anymore.
They've been saying that a "full re-write is just around the corner" -- for the past four years! Retrospect works well when it works but it has too many shortcomings and bugs to list here. I talked to a Dantz rep at MacWorld (who shall remain nameless) and he posited that it will be at least another year before they put out a proper Mac upgrade. [alert admin]

Yes, the link is still pointing to the 1.1 version even on the Starry Night webpage. Hopefully it will be updated soon. v1.1 has some awful bugs.

My house is at the wrong place
The data maintained by the county is probably off for your street. Possibly a data entry error at some point in the process or surveyor's mistake. Remember that a GPS satellite has no idea what your house number is. Coordinates have to matched from a ground-based survey of the streets. This is extrpolated from GPS readings from surveyors, property lines, aerial photography, etc, depending on where you live.

No Mac OS 9 for now. Probably not ever. You can use Sheep Shaver if you need Classic on Intel Macs.

Frustrated, cannot recommend upgrade
Losing the "date created" attribute is a huge issue for me as well. I'm sticking with 5.5 until either iOrganize 6 can import this data or Yojimbo gets better category support. I like a lot of things about Yojimbo but it isn't currently complex enough to replace iOrg.

Turns out it was because the destination FireWire drive had "ignore permissions on this volume" turned on. :-)

Blazingly fast. No sluggishness here. Many people can't even follow what I'm doing when I'm manipulating stuff with QuickSilver 'cause it rocks so hard. 1.0GHz Titanium PowerBook.
