Internet Cleanup 5.0.4 (Mac OS X)
Not Compatible with OS X 10.6; Snow Leopard
Beware, this application has not been updated to be compatible with OS X 10.6, Snow Leopard. For as long as Apple has had copies for developers, it's incredible that this Vendor has not seen fit to upgrade this application. [alert admin]

Symantec Norton AntiVirus 11.0 (Mac OS X)
It's incredible that for as long as everyone has known Apple was developing OS X 10.6 that Norton has not updated their virus application to support it. I would recommend that everyone switch to Virus Barrier X5 which has been updated. [alert admin]

Version 1 had no problem detecting my WiFi networks but Version 2 as well as the previous beta versions of 2, refuse to detect my WiFi networks. Apple's airport status on the menu bar does detect the networks. The developer has been informed of the problem. Aside from that, the product performs as advertised. [alert admin]

2.0b2 crashed upon startup on my 24" intel iMac. The latest version 2.0b3 works properly except that it does not detect the WiFi networks, including my own. An older version 1 of this software did detect the WiFi networks. The developer has been informed of the problem. I am running under OS X 10.4.11 [alert admin]

CheckUp 1.2.1 (Mac OS X)
1. The link now downloads version 2.0b2, not 1.2.1 as stated. 2. 2.0b2 crashes upon startup on my 24" iMac running under OS X 10.4.11 3. Developer was informed more than 48 hours ago and still no reply to my problem. I would reinstall version 1.2.1 if I could find it somewhere; it worked. [alert admin]

Opera 9.61 (Mac OS X)

The only reason that I am not using Opera as my default browser is that I cannot access my credit card information on www.citicards.com. The log in page does not accept any inputs; I therefore cannot log in. No problem with other https:// sites I use such as Fidelity. [alert admin]

Cannot create an emergency disk as advertised. The burned DVD does not show as bootable in system preferences/startup disk and will not boot the system. E-mailed the developer; no help thus far. (Version 4.0.2) [alert admin]

VueScan 8.4.44 (Mac OS X)
Problem Report; Problem Resolved
The problem I noted previously, application would not launch, for Ver 8.4.44 has been resolved by the developer. It now works fine. I appreciate his promptness in fixing the problem. [alert admin]

This latest version 8.4.44 is broken. It will not launch on either my iMacG4 or new Intel iMac. The previous version 8.4.43 worked fine. [alert admin]

Apple Safari 3.0b (Mac OS X)
Safari: Problem with my.yahoo.com site ![]()

Seems faster overall than the previous version. However; it has a problem with the site: my.yahoo.com, keeps complaining that a script on the page is making Safari unresponsive. Clicking "continue" loads the page but during each refresh of the page the same thing happens. No problem with other browsers---Sea Monkey, Camino, etc. The previous version of Safari did not complain, just loaded the page slowly. I guess I'll continue to use Sea Monkey. (Version 3.0b) [alert admin]

I agree that this is an outstanding app which deserves 5 stars. I don't know what an "empty password" is either. Would someone please enlighten me?

I use Personal Backup X4 from http://www.intego.com. It not only does a regular backup, backups from selected folders etc. but; most important to me, it does a clone bootable backup of your entire disk. Bill

I too have found their alarms to be extremely unreliable. I had an alarm set to go off every day at 11am and it just stopped working for no apparent reason. I tried everything I could think of including, doing a save as.... and replacing the original data file but to no avail. I have gone back to the tried and true iCal from Apple and it doesn't cost me a cent!!!! I…

If you had read my post more carefully you would have noted that Camino, Safari, Mozilla and yes, even IE have no problems with the up,down arrows etc. Just Firefox. I am running under Tiger 10.4.4. In other words: I only have a problem with Firefox, the others work as they should!
