Classic Cribbage 2.1.1 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
Has anyone else noticed that Classic Cribbage 2.1.1 crashes a lot under 10.3.8? I play with my father over the Internet (we live many states apart) and since 10.3.8 was released it crashes on both of our systems quite often. Have not been able to complete a single game yet. [alert admin]

RandomA9 1.0 (Mac OS X)
Should be "43,000", not "430,000". [alert admin]

Desktop Transporter 1.0.0 (Mac OS X)
OSXvnc (server) and Chicken of the VNC (client) are completely free, and work beautifully. Why would someone want to pay for the same functionality? [alert admin]

Killed my 40GB G3, but here's how I got it back
If you have an iSight, this updater will completely hose your G3 iPod. It hosed mine and made it completely unusable. To fix it I: 1) Disconnected my iSight completely. 2) Oped Disk Utility and formatted the iPod as a Mac OS X Extended (not journaled) drive. 3) Ran the iPod updater and chose Restore, which went a *lot* faster after I removed the iSight. All was well. HTH. [alert admin]

Keynote Jam 1.1 (Mac OS X)
Are people that hard up for Keynote backgrounds? If this were a free bundle, then I would welcome it, but I can't see the point of spending $25 for some rendered images; especially when a lot of them are the same image with different colors. [alert admin]

Blecherous piece of crud. I ran it, one time, and did nothing but launch it, look and quit. Now all of my Netflix rentals are in alphabetical order!! Crap! Now I have to go back and readjust them by hand to put them back into a semblence of decency. [alert admin]

Santa Paravia & Fiumaccio 1.0 (Mac OS X)
Yep, if you're on the Apprentice level and just keep smacking Enter, you will eventually win. The trick is that if you actually try changing settings, you can win faster (and if you don't play on Apprentice mode, you almost need to). If you're playing against someone and they're making changes while you are not, they will beat you. [alert admin]

Chicken of the VNC 1.3.6 (Mac OS X)
I am unable to have this software remember passwords. I type in a host and password into the fields, click connect, and the next time I launch the password field is empty. Other than that annoyance, this is a pretty solid VNC application. Fast and smooth. [alert admin]

Power20 4.5 (Mac OS X)
I've owned (yes, I paid for it) Power 20 and Power 64 for years. I just downloaded this version, and it won't launch. Get a console error message of:

I cannot get my DragThing windows to be sticky, no matter what I do. Other than that, it seems to be a solid release. It does what it claims to do. [alert admin]

Waves is far and away a superior product than SoundSoap. It is also far and away vastly more expensive. In this case, you get what you pay for.
