shadowClipboard 3.0.5 (Mac OS X)

Ugh...

Buggy, and not worth the money. If you want a decent pasteboard client try PTH pasteboard. Not only is it better, it's free. [alert admin]

PTHPasteboard 4.2.0 (Mac OS X)

Waaay better than the rest

I used shadowclipboard for years until it started getting buggy and the author started questionable practices on here and macupdate with harrassing users that gave bad reviews. Best clipboard app ever. And no bait and switch games like others I've used. [alert admin]

PTHPasteboard 4.0.0 B2 (Mac OS X)

WOW!

It's back! And reasonably priced as well. It just replaced ShadowClipboard as my main clipboard application. I recently had some problems with ShadowClipoard and the author and was looking for something to replace it with. I used to use this app back in the early OS X days. It's even better now. Happy Day. Snak 5.1.5 (Mac OS X)

Best IRC app for the Mac bar none

I started using IRC on my Mac via Homer, then Ircle I was never happy with my Mac IRC experience until Snak came out in 96/97 I have been using it since. Best IRC app for the Mac hands down. Well worth the cost if you IRC frequently. [alert admin]

shadowClipboard 3.0 (Mac OS X)

Not worth the money

I have many complaints about this newest version and the authors pricing on "shareware" products. If anyone wants to read the author's reasons as why he is charging AGAIN go here http://www.stupidfish23.com/forum/forum.php?action=showtopic&topic=135 In other words, if you buy this product, you will be charged again for the next version. This isn't like regular shareware. BTW I posted something similar to this, and it got deleted. I wonder why the author doesn't want people to know about his pricing scheme. [alert admin]

BTW to those that are thinking about buying this program

Make sure you know that this really isn't shareware. It's actually a commercial application that makes you pay for EACH upgrade. Unlike most shareware products that you pay once, and that is that, shadowclipboard uses the "shareware" term to confuse. Nor does it inform you that you are just paying for THAT VERSION. And nor will they change their info to tell customers this (Obviously they want them left in the dark, as I have requested them do this, and got it denied) They say "You can still use the version you bought" That is until it's no longer supported by 10.5 which is coming soon. Then you will have to BUY IT AGAIN just to make it compatible. No thanks. There are just too many of these programs JUST AS GOOD or BETTER than Shadowclipboard that doesn't decieve users. That is a pay once only shareware. IF anyone wants to read the author's poor excuses as to why this is happening feel free to mosy on over to their forums http://www.stupidfish23.com/forum/forum.php?action=showtopic&topic=135 [alert admin]

Shame On stupidfish

OK so I bought the buggy 2.0 version because I was told you guys were fixing the bugs. So I wait, and I wait, and I wait. Years go by. So FINALLY 3.0 comes out with supposably bug fixes and new features. What do you guys want me to do? Pay you more money for it. No thanks. I simply refuse to be taken for more money on a shareware product, while useful, was full of bugs when I registered it. I didn't mind because I kept being told a NEW version was gonna be out to fix all this. We just weren't told stupid fish would be charging for it. Most companies like this that sell shareware applications give you more than one version with the money you payed. There are just too many programs like yours that make you only pay ONCE for multiple upgrades. You'll never survive doing business this way. Shame on your stupidfish. [alert admin]

dissapointed at lisense policy

For one, if you bought Snak within 2 years of said uprade it cost you nothing. If you bought it after that it cost you LESS than full price. The only people that payed FULL price I believe were NEW buyers. I don't think paying for a IRC application EVERY 10 years is asking for a lot. That is the last time Ken asked for "new money" So your complaints are a bit invalid.

"Shadow" indeed

He is still ignoring the request to turn it off completely. Why wouldn't this feature be available?

Sloppy copy

>The upgrade price is over half of the full price. >Should be less than that - for the developer >jumped from version 2.4 to 3 and no updates in >a year and a half ? >It doesn't crash now but it doesn't work either. >The developer is a smart European, but is more >conscious of his app being pirated than end user >satisfaction or usability. The developer seems more concerned with filling his wallet, regardless of his customers. You aren't the only one…

Has always worked well

I wouldn't mind paying a few bucks for development If I had got my money's worth on version 2. Which wasn't finished. And the author seemed to be ignoring this. http://www.stupidfish23.com/forum/forum.php?action=showtopic&topic=140

Phoney

You aren't the only one disappointed by the buggy 2.0 version that wasn't fixed, then 3 came out and he wants more money. No way to treat your customers. :/

Good Choice

There are MANY that are just as good AND BETTER. Plus they don't charge you for every upgrade like stupidfish does with their "shareware" So I'd rather pay ONCE for software that is just as good.

I have been waiting for this for a long time now...

So you didn't mind having to shell out extra money fr a shaware application? When version 4 comes out, you gonna buy it again? This isn't a shareware application. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice application. Just a rip off money wise.

And as I explained to you, that isn't how shareware works.

Shame On stupidfish

BTW, I don't recommend anyone buy this product. Unless they like paying for the same SHAREWARE product over and over again. If Stupidfish continues this route, they need to change the description to COMMERCIAL software. And NOT shareware. Shareware is misleading. They took me for the bait and switch game.
