TV Tracker 2.0 (Mac OS X)

Still getting better

This just keeps getting better and I'd give it 4.5 stars if I could. The best new feature is that on the back you can choose which line up you'd like, which fixes its bugging handling when it tried to combine them all into one list. In this newest version there still seems to be some bugs. It gives me a notfication that I need to renew my subscription when I have 3 months left. It does not seem to be able to tell when there is no internet connection instead it mistakenly gives the error that my login is incorrect. I also sometimes get the error that my login is incorrect for no reason which I suspect means that the Zap2It site is having problems, it might be good to add a message saying that it may be a problem on their end. TV Tracker 2.0b2 (Mac OS X)

Forever loading...

I have started to have the same problem as dklj, though it initially worked. Sometimes this works great and sometimes it just shows the loading screen and never loads. A fix that works for me is to disable the widget in the widget manager and than turn it back on again. All of my old comments still apply and I hope the authors continue to improve this! Differences To Last Mac Beta (v3.1.0527): * 10.3.9 support - if you have 10.3.8 or earlier, it will prompt you to update OS X. * Entourage email support - from the "Preferences" dialog, go to the last tab and select the "Entourage" option. * UFS and case-sensitive versions of HFS+ disk formats now work. * Fixed printing quality issue for road labels, compass and logo. * Fixed display of remote images in balloons. * Restored missing road labels at low altitudes. * Password protected network links no longer crash but need a workaround - see release notes. * More detailed "About" dialog for OS version and Graphics Card. * GPX and LOC files no longer crash client - still unsupported. * Fixed network links for remote KMZ files - thanks to BBS users ArnaudDumont and Ad_s for identifying and helping to resolve this problem. * Fixed remote images getting "Image Not Found" error after refresh. * Fixed corruption or missing overlays for large images. * Fixed various crashes. TV Tracker 2.0b (Mac OS X)

Great that it's working now!

I've waited a long time for this program to be fixed and I'm glad that there is a working version. It's pretty easy and straight forward to use. Having said that I wonder why they went with Zap2It instead of Yahoo or TitanTV. One bug I found is that the widget combines different line ups. If you have one setting for local tv at work, and a setting for cable tv at home it "sort of" combines them. It does not correctly include all stations and some are randomly missing. The widget should let you choose between what line ups it shows, or at very least combine all your lineups correctly. The widget could also use some improvements such as a choice of font sizes and the ability to resize the window. [alert admin]

Wonderful!

I am currently using OS 10.4.3 and Safari 2.0.2 and it works great. It's simple, very useful, and best of all free. [alert admin]

el Ballo 1.0 (Mac OS X)

Needs Refinement

It's nice to see a few new platform games for the Mac, and while I like this game for the variety it adds it certainly isn't one of the best games released by Ambrosia. The only reason I would recommend this game in it's current state is if you really enjoy games in this genre. Some of the problems are that the in game graphics are blurry and the GUI is clunky. The style of the art often makes it hard to discern between which objects you can interact with. There are lacking controls for sound (you have to change the entire system volume instead of independantly controlling the sound for this game). For some reason the 32 page manual is in a square format instead of something normal like 8.5"x11" and all the screen shots are very blurry. [alert admin]

How is the "Search Bar" a new feature? Smart Shuffle and Parental Controls are good improvements but nothing ground breaking. [alert admin]

Great Tetris Clone

This is a very well made game. It's clean and elegant but it's strongest strength is in it's simplicity as a Tetris clone. The only thing I can think of thats missing is two player mode on the same computer (not networked). [alert admin]

fYI, automatic reconnect is limited

It's possible to log in to multiple locations at once, so that if your home client connects while you are logged in at work, you stay logged in at work. Good luck!

Solid two thumbs up

What solitaire game has poor performance? All that I have tried are simple and use few resources, this game probably uses the most of any.

Needs more features.

If you clear multiple lines you can send them to your opponent (it's an option). The game does speed up as you progress, maybe you're not getting far enough.

TOO MUCH $$$

jsmcpheeters, in your opinion what are some of the better photo focused image managers? I've used both Portfolio (slow and unwieldly) and Cumulus (powerful, expensive, complicated), both seem better suited for large organizations rather than for the use of a few photographers working together in a studio.

Works great for me!

It worked fine for me, I got a file called "OnyX_146.dmg" with a package inside called "OnyX.pkg" It installed quickly and I just used it to run the Daily/Weekly/Monthly maintence scripts. The problem might be on your end.

I don't know about stealing, but there was a period of time when he was breaking the GPL by not making the source available. I have not used this product in a very long time and so I can't speak to whether or not the author is following the license now or not.

excellent as always

Acqlite is based on open source code. I can understand your rash rationalizations however, it supports one side of the argument only, because I am sure you are partial to Acquisition. To have a truly parallel argument... You assume because they have put less effort and time into it that it is not a worthwhile product. Presumably the author of Acqlite (free) has put less work into that program than the author of Acquisition. But the…
