GIMP 2.6.7 (Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows 2000)

Stay away from GIMP 2.6.7 for Windows. I attempted to install it in WinXP (Dell Optiplex GX280 w/2GB RAM) from the binary installer, and it froze my computer up so tight I had to do a cold reboot from the power switch. (Couldn't even get a response from the 3-finger salute!) I uninstalled it immediately once I regained control of my computer. Fortunately, I still had the 2.4.5 installer on my HD, and it is working fine (again). [alert admin]

PhotoStudio 6.0 (Mac OS X)

Where's the Mac version?

I'm not convinced there is a Mac OS X version of this software. If you go to the developer's website and try to download the Mac version, you get an MS-DOS exe file. What is this, a practical joke? I tried the Windows version, but I don't need photo editing software in Windows. I have Paint Shop Pro. [alert admin]
