Kotoba 1.3.6 (Mac OS X)
Any chance of a Universal compile of this app even if other development has stopped? [alert admin]

Menuet 1.1b2 (Mac OS X)
Good so far, but couple of problems
I think this app is pretty nice. I mainly want to use it for Last.fm support, but if you don't have an internet connection at login time, then it pops up a dialog that you can't dismiss without killing the PID. Also it should be able to take a playlist off your iPod and submit that to Last.fm too... Otherwise a great start. [alert admin]

Minuteur 4.6.3 (Mac OS X)
Minuteur is elegant and beautiful, the perfect timing app. ![]()

Minuteur is the kind of app that does one thing extremely well. It is a timer app and that is all. The interface is elegant and simple to use, merely drag the "ruler" to set the time, or use the nicely hidden popup for your preset countdowns. I have only a few minor interface quibbles with the all too identical buttons: 1. when counting down, why is the green button lit up and the stop button dim? Certainly while running the green button should be dim, and the red button lit (it only lights on hover) 2. The pause button should also be yellow all the time. 3. The count up button should have an arrow or something (perhaps a button with an arrow that flips depending on state). But these are so minor to be almost negligible. A great app! [alert admin]

R-Name 3.0 (Mac OS X)
This is an excellent renamer for files. It should really use the column view metaphor from the finder for renaming files for letting you continually work with the files to do various operations on them. Very quick as well. [alert admin]

TiVo Desktop 1.7 (Mac OS X)
It seems that if I turn this on, according to top it seems to be taking 10-12% of the processor power, even when my Tivo isn't doing anything. This seems more than a bit ridiculous for simple sharing of files. [alert admin]

Crikey! 1.0pr2 (Mac OS X)
Not bad, needs a little polish
First of all, I think it is in bad taste to charge for pre-release versions, especially without any guarantee of a final version coming out. Despite that Crikey is a pretty well-put together IRC client. There are a couple of things that need to be done though:
- Use more Mac-standard style interface elements like the tabs, menu shortcuts and things like that.
- The menus need to be reworked to be a little easier to use, not everything needs to be in a submenu, servers should be editable from the servers menus.
- The friends and dcc transfer windows don't update correctly.
- Add key commands to shift between tabs
Although this is a list of problems, I think that Crikey looks really great and may draw me away from iRC when it is polished a bit more.

Is the current version Panther compatible? I think this is exactly what I am looking for, but I really need to use it on Panther.... [alert admin]
