TuneUp Companion 1.52 (Mac OS X)

awful - no help at all

this program has a very flashy interface which promises the earth - it will fix your iTunes library 'automagically' the strapline for their marketing asks 'is your iTunes library all messed up?' well if it wasn't before you use this software, it certainly will be after. i dragged a double album to be 'cleaned' after hanging three or four times, and restarting, it proceeded to delete about one third of the tracks (not from the actual library it has to be said - they just seemed to disappear) it then duplicated another third of the tracks. crapware at its finest. don't waste your time. PhotoUpLink for Aperture 1.1.0 (Mac OS X)

doesn't work, no developer response

this is potentially a very useful plugin, but since i installed it and paid for registration keys, i have had the same problem over and over again. every time i try to use it, i have to re-enter my registration keys for it to work, and re-enter my ftp details - so useless - easier to export my images from aperture, and upload them using another ftp client. the most galling thing however, is that the only contact i have with the developer is through a form on his web site. i have reported the problem several times and he doesn't respond. nothing. i paid for the plugin in good faith, it doesn't work, and the developer refuses to reply to my appeals for help. draw your own conclusions [alert admin]

does work, developer responds !

mark morris, the developer of this product got back to me yesterday with a big apology and a new plugin, which finally does what it's supposed to do. actions like this restore faith completely. i can recommend the plugin completely (although what i would really like is a plugin that could upload from aperture direct to a wordpress blog, now that would be nice) it's a very good plugin which now does a good job. very useful…
