MKVToolNix 2.7 (Mac OS X)
I got it working by: a) installing latest version of VLC (0.9.9a) into Applications b) become root ... 1) mkdir /opt; mkdir /opt/local; mkdir opt/local/lib 2) cd /opt/local/lib 3) cp /Applications/VLC.app/Contents/MacOS/lib/*.dylib . This adds all the 'missing' libraries for MKVToolNix (libwx_macu-2.9.0.dylib) to find ... I'm GUESSING here ... but I think the author ASSuMEs that we all have Mac Ports installed! [alert admin]

Rio 500 2.12 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
The web site that USED to have v2.16 has been over-run by cyber squatters with the typical 'infinite loop' search site. If anyone could share their copy with me, I'll be happy to host it for future users! [alert admin]

smcFanControl 1.11 (Mac OS X)
Heh - ONLY 115º ... mine frequently exceeds 180º !!! I think Apple needs to either: use the CORRECT amount of thermal grease OR up the fan minimum in the OS ... Either way - this sweet little app has kept my fingers from burning if the wander off of the keys! Thanks VERY much for writing it! [alert admin]

By far the best available for Mac OS X - AT ANY PRICE! My only wish is that the author could keep it more current with the main clamav tools ... BUT given that ClamXav is FREE and the author woks on it when he has time, this does not affect my review score. Maybe it's time to post ClamXav to SourceForge and others can HELP the author maintain it! ;-) [alert admin]

NICE! I also removed the language support for non-english. Toast is now down to 168.2 MB - v10.0.2 (539).

The problem you are experiencing is due to Cocoa based apps using yet another mechanism for for keeping track of time. I did the best I could to incorporate the major time tracking mechanisms in the time that I had to work on this. It DOES cover the BSD subsytem and Java - likely to be the time sources for the bulk of apps.

Usually I would agree with the concept of "Apple made it, let them dictate how the hardware is configured" - BUT knowing that HEAT is enemy #1 to your computer hardware AND that without this utility my MacBook Pro [core duo @ 2Ghz] would REGULARLY achieve temps in EXCESS of 180ºF !
