SOHO Notes 7.0.2 (Mac OS X)

No more multi clipboard

Why did they remove the clipboard function from DockNote? [alert admin]

pzizz 2.4 (Mac OS X)

What is going on?

Got v.2.4 from this site, but now the version on the developer's site is showing v.2.3 as the latest and their version history doesn't even go that far. WTF? [alert admin]

SOHO Notes 6.5.1 (Mac OS X)

Strange behaviour with Dock Note

I have just installed Soho Notes 6.5.1 and now my Dock Note bar doesn't show up until I click on the menu icon. When I enable the "hiding" function, the dock notes migrate across the screen if I click on the tab or try to adjust the size. It just moves left until it falls off the screen and then the only way I can seem to get it back is to disable "Turn hiding on". I hope this is easy to fix. [alert admin]

Amazing Slow Downer 3.1.1 (Mac OS X)

Great support!

I would like to add to my previous comment that I have been hearing from the developer constantly and I get the feeling that my case is being taken seriously, and that no one else seems to have reported the same problem. I have also noticed that it seems to only happen with AAC files and not AIFF or mp3. Am I the only one that has this behaviour? KL [alert admin]

Amazing Slow Downer 3.1.1 (Mac OS X)

3.1.1 kills the Mix function

With this update the Mix slider does nothing or worse, behaves somewhat randomly. I would wait for another update. [alert admin]

Apple Backup 3.1.1 (Mac OS X)

Works great for me

I like Backup because it is tidy and allows as much or as little customization as I like. It is easy to use and it works. I have restored from it successfully several times. I particularly like that it gives the option of choosing from several versions of any given file, based on the date. That way, in case I backup something that is not quite right, I still have an earlier version that I like to choose from instead. So I can't overwrite a good file with a bad one, just because it's newer. I like it. [alert admin]

Intuit Quicken 2007 R2 (Mac OS X)

I fail to understand...

why so many people feel the need to spew so much vitriol towards this company. I have been using Quicken for many years, and although there are some things I might do differently if I designed it, I could also say that of most applications. Overall, Quicken has been useful, and stable for me. The latest couple of upgrades have been noticeably large improvements, and the Quick Entry widget is fantastic. Please, everybody, if you are going to post a review, do it like an adult. I am not interested in the contents of your liver. Get a good night's sleep..... [alert admin]

Y.A.U.A.U.R.

Yet another useless and unhelpful review. Sorry about your kernal panic. You need to get some fresh air or something. Maybe less coffee. Please don't just trash a program like that. For what it's worth, it works great for me.

Irresponsible review

I have used NetBarrier and other Intego products for over 7 years and I have very seldom had a problem and have always found their support to be excellent. I have noticed that people who get their ire up prematurely are the ones who have the most difficulty with things in life, generally.

It is actually a big improvement

It have never had it crash or behave strangely. I find it easier to use the way it is now, versus the old pref pane way. Entering rules is a no-brainer. I have no idea how anyone would find it harder to use than the old version.

order of operations

I would run DiskWarrior *before* doing a defrag, if it were me. I think this is very important, as any directory problems could run amok during a defrag, causing significant loss of data. $0.02

Bug

If you control - click on the pref pane file, and choose "Show Package Contents", then look inside the "Resources" folder, you will find the app which you can copy to the Applications folder. It works!

How about A-Dock?

It is a great alternative dock and cheap! I am sure there are others also.
