PDF2Office 4.0 (Mac OS X)
ROFL. this is one of the most inadequate applications i've ever used/tested, but i'd like to thank the makers of pdf2office for filling the office with uncontrollable laughter on a rainy afternoon. [alert admin]

G-Force 3.6 (Mac OS X)
g-force never worked for me ever since it turned osx. always gives me a letterbox view whatever the resolution. now that i have an imac widescreen i thought i'd try it once more. letterbox again! maybe apple need to invent a ultrarwide screen. this only happens to g-force and no other visual plugin. £20 is not expensive but don't really want to throw money away. ffmpegX 0.0.9x r2 (Mac OS X)
ffmpegx is for the mac, but it's as though the makers of this software really hates apple. compatibility with imovie and quicktime pro files is frustratingly bad. audio/video out of sync, audio but no video, video but no audio. OMG!!!! I know ffmpegx is just a gui for other apps and shouldn't be blamed, but an extra $8 gets you another program which is happy to work with any av file a mac can throw at it. ok, but i still recommend ffmpegx for the speed of encoding and the price. i've just been trying out this software and instantly hit on a massive problem with vso inspector. it totally disabled all of vso inspector's functions and i had to force quit the inspector. vso inspector is invaluable to me so anydvd has to go! i hope there's no lasting damage to my computer. EyeTV 2.3.2 (Mac OS X)
anyone having problems with export? i am experiencing cuts in certain areas when using export. when watching the same programmes inside eyetv the cuts don't exist. it's frustrating when i want to give recordings to people who don't have eyetv, ie. 100% of people i want to send recordings to. EyeTV 2.3.1 (Mac OS X)
first impression is 2.3.1 feels more responsive. the program doesn't seem to freeze or stutter either (fingers crossed). this update feels right. [alert admin]

Fluid Mask 2.0 (Mac OS X)
the description says fluid mask "mimics the way the eye, optic-nerve and brain perform visual processing". i can clearly see the edges, but fluid mask consistently misses them (tried at 72dpi, at 300dpi and at 600dpi). either fluid mask need a good pair of glasses or i'm doing something wrong. i prefer to think the latter, but i thought this is supposed to be an easy to use plugin. photos with bluescreen background works well, but that is expected. DVD Imager 1.5.8 (Mac OS X)
this is a very easy to use app. most of the image files created are perfect, bar a few which disk compare picked up on. it would be perfect if there is a file compare option in future versions. thanks to the developer for making this very useful app a freeware. it's people like you who make using the mac at home more bearable. EyeTV 2.3 (Mac OS X)
can't seem to get a single burnt dvd to work without stutters, skips or freezes. previous version works first time. i've change back to 2.2.1 hoping everything will be back to normal, but no luck. [alert admin]

eyetv sometimes freezes for me too. i just hide eyetv everytime it is recording and, for me at least, seems to work.

i was totally pissed off that it didn't show the world cup final. changed everything to dvb in the epg column and all programmes are there again. elgato should sort out this communication problem with tvtv. i have'nt tried the tvtv remote recording feature, and now it looks like i don't have a chance to try it out. all i can say is thank goodness for the free subscription. i'm not going to renew it…

i agree with you about toast, but i am sure apple wouldn't think twice in prosecuting any developer who messes with their fairplay protection. examples are abound.

slboettcher, i said what i belive in. apple forced roxio. so maybe you get a clue, get a girlfriend so you can stop being steve jobs' arse licker. if itms let their songs being played by other more superior software then everyone would make multiple copies of songs downloaded from itms instead of re-encoding an already inferior encoding to play it outside of itunes. who knows, maybe you have hacked your itms downloads and don't…

i'm sorry, but did you just disclosed confidential customer information? i do believe prosoft make very good data recovery products. in fact, better than the "popular" names for the mac because i have used one of them at work. but do you have a habit of giving out private customer information?
