I download the package, the installation is successful, but when I start Adobe 9, it crashes with an internal error. [alert admin]

VueScan 8.3.58 (Mac OS X)
Two days ago, I ran into a problem saving a scanned document to a file name of my choosing. I pointed out the issue to Ed Hamrick with some supporting data and presto, it was fixed with with the 8.3.58 rerelease. This, to me, is great support, but you have to follow the procedures rather clearly spelled out on the Vuescan webpage. Complaining here will not get much result. What is so hard about following the procedures? [alert admin]
