Definitely has a more natural feel using my Wacom Graphire than ArtRage or Photoshop. I can do my handwriting & signature almost perfectly. Hopefully later versions will have more options than the brushed ink line. Could this be developed as some kind of plug-in for apps like Photoshop? [alert admin]

Iconverter 0.9 (Mac OS X)
Latest version doesn't convert to .ico properly.
Not for me anyway. (G4 running 10.4.8) Although I make Mac icons I like to try & test them all as Windows XP icons too. The previous version of Iconverter did this much better than GraphicConverter. However this new version just "hangs", whether I am trying to convert an .icns or a 128x128 png. [alert admin]

Music Math 4.0 (Mac OS X)
I probably use this at least once a day for different calculations. Although some of the features are available elsewhere it is great to have them all together in one app. The tap tempo feature is the fastest & most accurate one I've tried. [alert admin]

Music Machine 1.0 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
Can't the user control these "decisions"?
I know the description says "preset parameters", but I was expecting to be able to have some control to generate something listenable, & perhaps useable in Logic. There is too long a silence between a lot of notes to really hear them as a piece of music, however discordant it is. Also stopping it while it plays a particularly long, harsh sound does not cut the sound off. It still plays to the end. Nice icon though. [alert admin]

This worked perfectly when I was using Logic Gold 6 & running Panther. I upgraded to Tiger & Logic Pro 7 at the same time which then required re-entering my registration code due to the different configuration Logic Pro 7 uses compared to earlier versions. Since then SoundFont Synth no longer works as well as it used to. I will open & start playing a song but the track that contains SoundFont Synth will be silent until I play a few midi notes into it which seems to "unlock" the plug-in. However if I want to bounce the song down I'll find the SoundFont Synth track is silent again. I should add that some other AU plug-ins that used in Logic 6 do not work at all in 7. [alert admin]

...if you have ever tried the process of splitting a stereo track into two mono ones; inverting the phase of one & mixing them back together to try and cancel vocals. I'm sure this plug-in is employing this process but does it instantly. Remember, this is a reducer, not a remover. No plug-in can remove the vocal from a stereo track completely. [alert admin]

MrDrum 1.50 (Mac OS X)
Why does it have that horrible chime
when you start or stop? Am I missing some facility to switch it off because I expected to find it in Preferences but there aren't any? The developer obviously has knowledge of hardware & software musical instruments but I can't imagine why they think this will be a useful feature in their app. Midi file export is a very useful feature, but the app as a whole would be better if patterns could be extended to at least two bars long. Poster Paint 0.0.4 (Mac OS X)
It is nice to see how this is developing with these almost weekly updates. However, it won't really start being useful for me until it at least gets a fill-in & straight line features. Even better would be importing of images for backgrounds & use of text. [alert admin]

Move To... 1.0 (Mac OS X)
Works fine for me using 10.3.9, & it works from the Dock icon too. ![]()

Moves complete folders as well as single files, & it properly moves them between Volumes. Simply dragging & dropping on Finder windows for different Volumes copies item. All it could benefit from is a nice icon instead of the basic Applescript one. [alert admin]

FutureDecks Lite 1.0 (Mac OS X)
despite the previously mentioned lack of drag & drop or iTunes intergration this is great for the price. I had no problems with sound quality through my eMagic USB soundcard, & was impressed by the 3 rotary eqs on both channels. Automatic beat matching is really good, even with old records that aren't at a rigid, sequenced tempo. [alert admin]

To change the volume your best bet is a waveform editor. Amadeus is my recommendation. If you just need it for this one task you get a 14 day free trial period with nothing disabled. Use the "Amplify" effect set to just a small percentage difference...... eg. 90% to decrease the volume, 110% to increase it & keep applying it until the volume is right.
