MacCVSClient 1.10 (Mac OS X)
Hey, I dont know much about CVS, but i got it to work fairly quickly (used the help files to get me going). I dont know how good the program is, but it is the only and easiest solution I've found to get into CVS without having to learn a new technology. I know Mac OSX, and it Worked for me. [alert admin]

I first tried yummy on a humbug, when my other program was really freaking out. The other FTP wouldnt let me upload to my web server. Now 2 months have passed and I have never looked back. Yummy is by far the best, and most reliable that I've used. It appears to handle time outs well (very few of them), and if it does occur, Yummie will wait and them resume the transfer with no problem. Yummie also lets you browse the directory and initiate other operations will a file transfer is in progress (great time saver with that feature-just set everything up and leave). Works fluidly with my external html editor. I like how you can create blank files on the server and then click on them to edit them in my external server (another great time saver). All basic functionality is quick and easy to access (chomd, delete, rename, copy, move, etc...). It is well established as an essential tool in my arsenal. In fact it is indespensable! The only thing that I could wish for is a little icon inside the viewer to move up one director level. This would be used to drop items outside of the folder when I have the view set to "single page mode" P.S. Support....I dont know how well the support is because I havent needed any. The program is rock solid! Nomad76 [alert admin]

Captain FTP 4.4.5 (Mac OS X)
If you want a pretty program then this is for you. But their support sucks. I cant totally diss Captain FTP, because I was a big fan, and it is one of the better FTP programs for the mac. But when it stoped working for me, I could get no help. I posted on the forums, I've sent email requests and not 1 reply in two weeks. I was frustrated with everybody and about to switch ISP's when I just decided to try antother FTP program. I downloaded Yummy FTP. It worked well, the first time I used it. The problem I had with captian FTP was constant time outs and slow transfer speeds. I basically couldnt upload anything to my site. My productivity stopped. If you have timeout problems like me, then dont wast your money. Get Yummy FTP, it works. [alert admin]

In all fairness, Yes I did try to contact support. I used the built in function located in the Captain FTP Help Menu. The help menu item that states "Ask for support (by email)" was used by me at least twice if not more. I also included my tracerts in the message body to assist in determining the problem. I didnt bother with the forum, because I was still waiting on a response from my…
