Gawker 0.8 (Mac OS X)

soo easy to use

Hey all. This is an incredibly simple app to run. I was running late the other morning because I got the idea to find a time lapse app and record an event later in my day. Searching here, which is so thanklessly excellent, I found Gawker, Dl'd and ran out the door. Well, let me tell you, without any time-in on this app... I opened and let it rip. Captured 10 hours of images right after opening. It was so easy: open > click record > set FPS and name the file .... and you're in business. Suggest you play with fps and rate of snapshots prior to capturing any product you want to use beyond posterity... unless you know something about vid prior to use... [which I really don't/didn't] either way, idiot proof, simple, light and no bugs found. thanks! [link to footage taken 6.22.06 for demo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3dsW4h2clXs [alert admin]

OSS 3D 1.3 (Mac OS X)

second... 10.4.4 / iTunes 6.02 issues

Yep... I second the following post regarding loss of controls after [post "MacWorld"] update. For those interested in this app [until it is updated] it is a HIGHLY recommended app for those not up to 10.4.4 yet. Definately try this. It is well worth it. Those who have updated.... boooo lol you'll just have to wait with us. [alert admin]

Awaken 2.1.6 (Mac OS X)

Start-Up Fix & Support

Wow. Maybe I am just a fan of old fashion help and all, but the developer here took care of me. I was having the password promt lock me out of the app at start-up. With some simple moves, step by step with the developer, I was straighten-out. No more Issues. Thanks Jerry- AGAIN, I AM A BIG FAN: FEATURES AND SUPPORT GREAT APP!! [alert admin]

OSS 3D 1.3 (Mac OS X)

FEEDBACK after 10.4.3 Update

hey there all. Want to suggest this program, as many others have. It really makes a difference... much more presence to it all when listening on even poopy systems... [like in my car!] Want to advise folks to watch-out though. I have been getting the worst noise from iTunes lately. Every-so-often [maybe four times a day] I have wicked feedback pumped through my iBook speakers and even remote speakers. I believe this is due to having turned OSS 3D'S volume up... [from w/i it's prefs pane... this makes my iBook speakers audible in crouds, on roof tops, next to trains and so on...] I am testing, now, to see if leaving the volume at "0" will prevent the problem.. but WOW... I'm just waiting to blow a speaker from this damn bug. WATCH-OUT... this is just a warning, unless I figure-out if this is from iTunes or OSS 3D... good luck [alert admin]

Awaken 2.1.6 (Mac OS X)

password necessary on prgm start

The current version of this app requires a password prior to running thereby posing a problem for me, an iBook user that uses scheduled start-up and start-up items. The fact that this app is an alarm used to wake me from sleep, I find it incredibly funny that I need to be awake to use it. Otherwise, I will say that I ENJOY THIS APP when not used from a scheduled start. Many very useful features, wakes from sleep, custom volume and all sorts of things. BE AWARE: AWAKEN 2.1.6 IS OF NO USE [as an alarm clock] UNLESS YOU HAVE POWERED-ON AND INSERTED PASSWORD OR ARE ALREADY AWAKE. [alert admin]

VLC media player 0.8.2 (Mac OS X)

was great...now quits?

what happened? Once upgraded to Tiger... the app quits-out after seconds of use. Until this, I would recommend the prgm to everyone... but now... couldn't really say I'm a fan [alert admin]

FEEDBACK after 10.4.3 Update

I've run the machine from standard amplification and it seems to work fine. i guess I am left to suggest there is a tiny little bug, in the processing of when turned-up. Otherwise still, it continues to amaze-
