iClock Pro 1.0b12 (Mac OS X)

From Developer

Thanks for all the interest in the new version and the upgrade. We have worked for the last year and it is far better and far more usable then every before. It is presently a beta. The final version should be ready shortly. Until then its important to realize this is a beta. It is solid and stable but not feature complete. There are hundreds of settings and features in iClock Pro if you find something that does not work as expected or a spelling mistake then just let us know via our suggestion/bug form and it will be fixed in a week. We really appreciate feedback, all kinds, our aim is to continuously improve the software. On email. If we don't get back to you within a few hours, we are not ignoring you and we will get to you, we are a small company. There are a lot of iClock users and only a few of us. If you ordered and did not receive an email just let us know. We will resend it to you or you can log in and get your registration key or you can go to our support page and have it resent. If you have any other question or problem or feature you want in iClock Pro then let us know via email. info at scriptsoftware.com Thanks [alert admin]

CopyPaste Pro 1.0.5 (Mac OS X)

Good Feedback

Thanks to all the users who helped pinpoint the problem for some users with the contextual menu. Since we did not have the problem ourselves it really helped to have your input.

Also all the creative suggestions have been invaluable. Many suggestions like the vertical browser will come shortly. If many people all want some particular feature then it moves it to the top of the list of things to put in the next update.

We especially appreciate technical input through the feedback menu item in CopyPaste Pro because it goes straight into a database that we see immediately and allows us to track, follow up and respond better.

Thanks [alert admin]

iKey 2.2.2 (Mac OS X)

iKey News

Hi, I am one of the iKey developers and just wanted everyone to know that iKey works fine on Leopard. If you find that the 'type text' command runs to fast and puts in extra characters then yes that is a problem but there is a workaround and we will fix it in the next version. The work around is just to use instead the command 'put text in clipboard' which will put in reams of text without any problem. also its important to know that learning about these things is best done in our support forum and not here on vt. If you have any other issue after installing leopard then a clean install of ikey (including deleting the preferences but saving your shortcuts somewhere safe) will cure it. Thanks [alert admin]

iClock 3.0.5 (Mac OS X)

iClock

One other thing i wanted to add was that the different features of iClock can be turned on/off. Not all features are for all users. Just turn off what you don't need to use. More good things and enhancements coming soon. Thanks julian [alert admin]

iClock 3.0.5 (Mac OS X)

iClock

I am one of the developers of iClock. To answer the last poster. iClock was never meant to be just a clock. It is a time hub. This is important to understand. All the things appearing in iClock are time related. There is a need for an application that strings together all time related functions and that is iClock. This will be more easy to appreciate the next version. Thanks for the feedback. julian [alert admin]

ChatFX 1.2.1 (Mac OS X)

ChatFX

hi, i am one of the developers and we appreciate all the feedback and it will go into making chatfx even better. yes, chatfx is gpu (graphics processing unit) demanding the better graphics card you have the more responsive chatfx is. chatfx pushes the envelope no question about it. if you have a problem with some of the more demanding effects (they are all different in that way) then things that help are quiting other apps. extra vram (if you are thinking of buying an imac get the extra video ram) makes a big difference. we hope to build in a gpu and cpu monitor in a future version. we have a suspicion this is where apple is heading. the built in cameras are going to be used now that they are in most macs. demands will increase. gestural recognition? games? more video is coming. this not an accounting app. itis a fun app it is also cutting edge. our other apps will run on any mac but chatfx is a different beast. its very entertaining but very demanding. if you try it and try movies in the bluescreen then it will be hard to go back to the old video conferencing. thanks again for the feedback. we have ideas for great new features and we are always working at optimizing to improve performance on more machines. thanks julian ps we encourage creative people to check out chatfx. there are unlimited possibilities in creating effects. everyday we think of new ones that could be created. chatfx uses quartz composer which is a truly amazing but almost unknown apple technology that deserves to be used by more people. quartz composer we think is easier to use for programming then applescript or automator. quartz composer does video programming and it is really amazing. if you are a student or graphics person or programmer or someone interested to see how chatfx works then look at the faq on our site to learn more and start rolling your own effects. BeComposed 1.4 (Mac OS X)

Beautiful

If you are ready for a new iTunes visualiser this one is fantastic. The artwork is realistic and lots of info on each song. If you have iTunes on a mini connected to an HD screen this is essential. Amazing work and its free. It uses the amazing iVisualize which adds infinite possibilities to visualizing in iTunes. The only way to understand is download and see it in action. [alert admin]

iVisualize 1.5 (Mac OS X)

Must have for iTunes

This is not just a new iTunes visualiser its a plug-in which allows you to use Quartz Composer to develop more visualizers for iTunes. This is fantastic. The artwork is realistic and lots of info on each song. Many different visualizers are included. If you have iTunes on a mini connected to an HD screen this is essential. Amazing work and its free. The only way to understand it is to download and try it out. Kudos to the author and the artists who have obviously given a lot of time and effort to this undertaking. Anyone who loves their music owes it to themselves to try this out. I found it solid and dependable and easy to install. [alert admin]

iClock 3.0.3 (Mac OS X)

features in iclock

hi, this is julian again (one of the iclock developers) and i just wanted to mention why iclock has what appears to be non clock and so many features. when we created iclock we wanted a time hub. something that gave us time and date simultaneously in the menubar. we wanted to see timezones for all the cities that we interact with to improve communication. we wanted alarms that could be set in one click and drag so that they would be simple and therefore used. we wanted a quick calendar that could have pictures and lots of other options and be printed out. a stopwatch was another very obvious feature related to time and that was soon added. an updated stock portfolio available at a click from the menubar does not seem related to time but it is because stocks change with time. also setting alarms for stocks makes sense. a to do list also may not at first glance appear to be time related but if on the list you want to know when an item is due (and all to do items are due sometime) then it should tell you. this is not implemented yet but mark is working on it. so iclock has everything to do with time. it sits up in the menubar and gives you powers that no other application does because it integrates many types of functions and this power will be seen as it continues to evolve. it is unobtrusive, it doesn't use much memory, is inexpensive and uses hardly any cpu and yet it is extremely useful to get things accomplished. it for productive people. thanks again to all the users of iclock for their valuable input. julian ps the price of iclock will be going up for unregistered users in the future. so if you don't own it you may want to get it soon. registered users will continue getting free upgrades as they have for the past 4 years. It's even worse than that ...

actually, we use a link from our site to do the check for updates (sparkle). we have a php developer who was updating the app casts, pcpad and other links from our site to other sites and to our software. in the cleaning he removed code that was very old but was integrated in the old iclock. that will be fixed this week. you can't imagine the complexity of all the interrelations of software, os,…

Developer seems awfully impressed with him/herself!

I can take the blame for that. I wrote the manual for CopyPaste and Peter is the programmer. I have known Peter for over 10 years and he has been dedicated to this all that time, and his family. He created the first multiple clipboard tool in the last century and he has been making it better ever since. I admire him and what he has accomplished and that comes out in the manual. His dedication…
