Backpack 0.5 (Mac OS X)
This application has the workings of a gem. It's an excellent flashcard replacement. While many have tried, this one seems to have the ability to go the distance. Adding cards is easy, and the extra fields features (think itunes adding playlist criteria) make it very useful for things like foreign languages where a gender is critical to correct learning. Having said that, the title of the application is somewhat appropriate. You have to select english in two drop down menus (so far, although there may be more). The translation is good, however the menus under file, such as services, are not localized. A global preference for the language would be one of the minimum fixes for interface. While backpacking is a little rough on some things, I don't think it's beta by any means; unless you think everything is beta. This is a stable application with a few cosmetic/localization issues and it is extremely useful. [alert admin]

Apple Ethernet Driver 1.1.10 (Mac OS X)
This software updates : System/Library/Extensions/IONetworkingFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns (module) AppleBCM5701Ethernet.kext If you're worried about it not working then backup the AppleBCM5701Ethernet.kext file before updating by navigating to the IONetworkingFamily.kext, control clicking and showing the package contents, then going to the AppleBCM5701Ethernet.kext and option copying it to the desktop prior to installing the update. You can check if your system is using this in the first place by looking in system profiler>extensions, and seeing if AppleBCM5701Ethernet.kext is Loaded. If you system is working and then you update and it fails, check if this is loaded before posting a bug, then just revert by copying the previous version back (you may need to kill your ethernet connectin to do this, but that's the file you need). Veta Universal 1.1 (Mac OS X)
Try using it with Romeo. Veta adds a menuing system for controlling your mac with your phone. Romeo's great and free and for the low price of Veta Universal you get a better cost/value solution that salling. Do I need to post this nine times too? My gripe, the loss of connectivety when the registration screen comes up and the IMEI registration system. If anything makes people paranoid, that's gonna be it. If I'm sending out my IMEi then I want a reg code and unlock codes for my phone too. [alert admin]
