TrueCrypt 5.0a (Mac OS X)
I was hoping I could encrypt a small USB drive. The best TrueCrypt does is create an encrypted file. Apple's Disk Utility works better for this. Also, you need the app for encrypting and decrypting. The documentation says you can create "Travel Mode" files that don't require the app, but it doesn't seem to work on a Mac. Might be a good solution for cross-platform encryption [alert admin]

MacNoteTaker 1.0.5 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
This product changed my life -- It has allowed me to transition all of my ToDo lists, project outlines and reference files from complex, buggy and proprietary apps to simple text files. Everything organized by directories and syncing between laptop and palm. Many thanks to the developer. Please don't let this app die -- keep it up-to-date. I'd like to see an improved sync -- delete trashed files from both platforms. And some way to sync files that have been modified separately on both platforms. [alert admin]

OnyX 1.6 (Mac OS X)
I get the following dialog on launch: "AppleScript Error - NSReceiverEvaluationScrptError: 4 (1)" After closing the dialog window, Onyx loads, but doesn't work. When closing, I get the AS Error again, then a "Saving Prefs" progress bar that freezes halfway. I ran the preference-deletion AppleScript prior to running Onyx, and I also manually checked both global and local library pref folders to make sure Onyx prefs were deleted. I used Apple Disk Utility to repair permissions before -- and after -- upgrading to OS 10.4.2, and Onyx 1.6. I love this app and look forward to a fix. [alert admin]
