EyeTV 3.1.2 (Mac OS X)

Get past bug to address bug; simple!

Oh, goody "Crashes while using the auto-update feature have been eliminated." That's great. Now, all I have to do is auto-update to get this fixed version. Hey, wait a minute... FAIL [alert admin]

Essential

Your phone should have these features built in. But, because it doesn't, you should spend the $15 for this essential little toolchest. [alert admin]

Does almost nothing

Apparently, a "bot" than can reply to up to 4 predefined commands. It doesn't learn. It can't handle more than for commands unless you load a new command set. h, but it does log some things. There, that's about it. Move along. [alert admin]

Skype 2.0.0.3 (Mac OS X)

Going well so far.

For a beta, I have been quite pleased. No serious crashes, and conversations seem to sound fine overall. I have been using skype for IM'ing quite a bit lately. [alert admin]

DashLite 1.0 (Mac OS X)

Seems to work.

It would appear that DashLite does what it says. There are no preferences, and no feeback when the application kills off the widgets. (That's not neccesarily a bad thing.) No docs/readme inlcuded. I'll keep it. [alert admin]

What's new?

Any hints about what's new in this version? ...or the last one? Hello? [alert admin]

Dashingly Good!

Does what it says. Great way to keep your widget data current. A must-have. [alert admin]

Adobe DNG Converter & Camera Raw 3.3 (Mac OS X)

Keep it up

Some very "important" cameras are on that list. 'Bout time. [alert admin]

Movie Sync 1.0b1 (Mac OS X)

Seems to be a good start.

I encountered no bugs that were not already listed in the release notes. Syncing a H.264 MP4 file was processor intensive, although effective. (It took me a while to figure out which direction to move the adjustment.) A combination of the arrow keys and a scroll wheel is rather effective. I wasn't able to preview any new video after my first sync edit; unsure if that's by design, a bug, or just the nature of the particular file I was editing. [alert admin]

Get past bug to address bug; simple!

It only took me three tries until I got lucky enough to get the update installed. A direct download option sure would have been handy.

crashes on every Quit

Yes. Given that you are knowingly using a beta, you should: 1. Report the error to the developer. 2. Expect such anomalies with a beta. But, you already knew that. :)

I suggest that Megaseg is most certainly some quite worthy competition.

Uhm Transmission is an FTP client. Oh, and it's also not free. Maybe you were thinking of something else?

S*cks

Uhm, it never said it -=would=- to .VOB files. And, you spent 20 minutes trying? Wow. Your meds may need to be adjusted.

Seems to be a good start.

My initial comments were made while the results were being flattened to a new file. Well, that process never completed. It failed with "...an unknown error." :(

How about a chart that is actually useful? A big beige version of the world doesn't really show me what this app can do.
