Apple Wireless Mouse Software Update 1.0 (Mac OS X)

It doesn't work.

I've installed the software 3 times and my magic mouse still doesn't do any of the new scrolling gestures. It's just a two button mouse right now. Apple needs to get these things right before releasing them to the public. How much did I spend for this thing? Go to the apple blogs and see people complaining: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2215791&tstart=0 [alert admin]

HandBrake 0.9.3 (Mac OS X)

Almost the heir apparent.

Until VisualHub gets picked up and moved along in the open source community, it would seem that this is the new best alternative. Needs to offer far more conversion options for video files for it to be the all-in-one solution. [alert admin]

Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2.0b1 (Mac OS X)

Better than Aperture

1. Renders thumbnails faster and more efficiently. 2. Works closely with Photoshop and uses the standard Adobe Color Engine. 3. Thinks the way photographers do. 4. Lightweight - can run on a laptop really fast. 5. Increasingly better indexing and metadata. Better than Aperture. I want to like Aperture, it's just too slow and sluggish. Even 2.0. [alert admin]

Toast Titanium 6.0.9 (Mac OS X)

SAVE AS DISC IMAGE.... BROKEN with TIGER

Trying to back up CDs and I get this message: "CD" could not be unmounted. All open files and programs on this volume must be closed first. Hope they fix this soon. Really annoying, breaking a key feature. [alert admin]

It works fine.

Actually, there's a conflict with USB Overdrive. Removing USB Overdrive resolves everything. MacRumors confirmed it.
