FreeDMG 0.5.5b (Mac OS X)
I tried using this to compact a sparse disk image. It went through the process, freed up 10 gigs, and then hung on "Finishing". The resulting file was unmountable, and I've lost all the content as a result. [alert admin]

Exactly what I needed, and it worked like a charm! [alert admin]

Apple Mac OS X 10.3.4 (Mac OS X)
This is the first time I've ever had a problem with an Apple update. After rebooting, I noticed that my display was flickering, and sure enough, opening the Display settings confirmed that the refresh rate had changed from 100Hz to 75Hz. The real problem here is that ALL THE OTHER FREQUENCIES ARE NOW GRAYED OUT! What gives? [alert admin]

VLC media player 0.7.1a (Mac OS X)
A lot of avi files I try to play have distorted audio. It sounds like crackling that happens when the audio peaks. Playing the same file in MPlayer or Quicktime player sounds fine. [alert admin]

Detour 1.1 (Mac OS X)
According to the readme: "It is not possible to distinguish between the built-in speaker (on the front of the machine) and the headphone jack(s). This is a hardware issue as these outputs share one audio line." I think this is the scenario that 90 percent of users would want to use a program like this for. I hook up my G4 to my entertainment system via the headphone jack when I'm using iTunes, but always disconnect at other times. Quite a hassle when the headphone jack is in the back of the machine. Too bad this program doesn't help this issue... [alert admin]

Apple Safari 0.9 (Mac OS X)
duplicate some of these other problems described here, and everything works just fine for me. Apple's site looks fine. Versiontracker looks fine. My three-button mouse works just as it always did (I have my center button configured to open a link in a new tab. Works great.) Also, other bugs seem to have been ironed out from previous versions. Half.com finally works. [alert admin]

is up to speed now, but visited links no longer update dynamically. You need to refresh the page in order to see them change. Not very good for surfing places like eBay. It worked in the previous release... [alert admin]

AutoHide 1.3.6 (Mac OS X)
this new version doesn't seem to hide itself from the dock. No matter what, the AutoHide icon still shows up in my dock. Yet according to the readme: "It is a faceless background application so you will not see its icon in the dock." [alert admin]

Apple Safari 0.8.1 (Mac OS X)
about Apple charging for Safari! Apple could never charge for it, simply because all of the competition is FREE! [alert admin]
