YAI 1.1.0 (Mac OS X)

Works great

This is an easy and unobtrusive way of getting the Outlook invites into iCal. Works great. [alert admin]

This is the first version that the network games work. Only problem is the score is not the same on the two computers playing. Great game though.... [alert admin]

Apple Broadband Tuner 1.0 (Mac OS X)

Great for me

My 6 Mb/s connection actually went from about 4900/512 to 6200/700. Maybe it really needs a 6 Mb connection. Looks like the complaints are coming from people with < 6 Mb connections. It is great for me. [alert admin]

FAXstf X Pro 10.6.1 (Mac OS X)

Garbage

I do believe that Norm must work for Smith Micro. There is NO WAY that only his computer will work with this product. I still can't use an external USB modem (yes, It was supported in 10.2) and there answer is always the same - no answer. Smith Micro has virtually no Mac support and their software is at best, very buggy. This version is no better than any of there other versions and I suggest that you do not purchase this or any other Smith Micro product. [alert admin]

FastMailBase 1.12 (Mac OS X)

registration problems

I'd love to give it a try but after purchasing the program I can't connect to their activation server to active the program. They need a more reliable system if they want people to use their program. I don't mind online activation as long as I can connect to get activated. [alert admin]

Doesn't recognize my iBook G4, Powerbook 15 and Dual G5 all running 10.4.2. Seems to work with my iPods, though. [alert admin]

StuffIt Deluxe 9.0.2 (Mac OS X)

App will remain 9.0.1 (read below)

This Updater is designed to update both StuffIt Deluxe 9.0.1 and StuffIt Standard 9.0.1. The StuffIt 9.0.2 Updater enhances both these StuffIt products by allowing them to expand JPEG files that are compressed using StuffIt’s new patent-pending JPEG Photo Compression Technology. JPEG’s compressed with the new technology can be reduced up to 30% in size. The new JPEG compression technology is currently available in StuffIt Windows 9.0 products and will be coming soon to a Macintosh near you. In the mean time, we wanted to make sure that these files are accessible cross-platform by all computer users. This Updater accomplishes that goal. A StuffIt 9.0.1 product must be installed for this Updater to work. If you have a StuffIt 9.0 product installed you will need to update it to version 9.0.1 before using this Updater. The 9.0.1 Updaters for your StuffIt 9.0 products are available at: http://www.stuffit.com If you have a StuffIt product previous to version 9.0 you will need to perform a full installation of a StuffIt 9.0.1 product before proceeding. StuffIt 9.0.1 products are also available at: http://www.stuffit.com The StuffIt 9.0.2 Updater only updates certain internal components which are common to both StuffIt Standard 9.0.1 and StuffIt Deluxe 9.0.1. All the StuffIt applications and other user-accessible components of your StuffIt software, including your StuffIt Expander version 9.0.1, will remain at version 9.0.1. You will know the StuffIt 9.0.2 Updater was successful when you see the message: “Installation was successful” which will appear when the Updater installation has completed. The only files effected by this updater are the sitx.bundle and sit.bundle files which are internal to the StuffIt Framework which was installed on your startup volume when you installed your StuffIt 9.0.1 product. Please note: StuffIt 9.x Macintosh products require Mac OS X 10.3 (“Panther”) or higher. [alert admin]

FAXstf X Pro 10.5.3 (Mac OS X)

just plain garbage

Still advertises USB modem support eventhough they have not and will not support USB modems unless you are running Jaguar. It doesn't state that anywhere but it is the truth. Just a $90.00 POS. Save some money and send me $80.00 and I'll send you some useless stuff, too. Great marketing..... [alert admin]

Samba 3.0.9 (Mac OS X)

Hey daun...

DAVE only works for a small percentage of users. In my case, DAVE is useless. I can see the Win boxes but get the "No Route To Host" error on EVERY machine (Mac or Win) that I try to connect to. Thursby says there is an error in SAMBA's inplementation on Panther server. Yes we use Panther server to serve a company with 100+ PCs and only one non-server Mac. The PC's love it and have had no problems at all but the lone Mac with DAVE doesn't work. Apple's SAMBA without DAVE doesn't even resolve names. So I guess DAVE does do that.....I happy DAVE works for you but I have been in touch with hundreds of people that have a variety of problems with DAVE. [alert admin]

price?

HUH? Have you ever tried BV? Let's do apples to apples. Sure a Yugo and a BMW are both cars. Why should there be any price difference? If you are happy with very low end encoding that is fine but dont for a second think that these two programs are comparable. They are not.

sounds like a great app...

No it won't, unless it is supposed to be a 220k HTML file. Looks like the developer is clueless....

Serial Number

How is he responsible. This has been around for a long time and if you didn't buy a license or stole it yourself, you are out of luck. What was it? $25.00. That is a steal for such a powerful program. I, along with many other legal users have made the decision not to share the serial number. That is why you are upset. You could have purchased…

Let's be clear here about these updates

Adding menus is not a hardware issue. It is a software issue and has nothing to do with hardware. If you are correct, I would never be able to run anything but OS9 on my iMac. The firmware in the iPods IS flashable. The hardware is different from model to model but the software controls the menus and displays. I'm not expecting to see grayscale photos on my 40 GB…
