REALbasic 2008 r1 (Mac OS X)
I've been using REALbasic since version 5.4. It bothers me sometimes when I see it described as a "hobbyist's" tool. I use the pro version of this excellent development tool exclusively to develop my cross-platform commercial software products, including "Purify." REALbasic offers a lot, and like anything else, you need to dig into it to discover its true capabilities. Technical support is great, and responsive. The online support community is great. The product has everything that you need to do real cross-platform product development. The only plugin that I've ever needed is the MySQL plugin for some of my Linux server based apps, which by the way works great. My primary development environment is OS X 10.4.11, on a dual PowerPC Mac with 1.5GB of RAM and a Cinema Display, and REALbasic is a pleasure to use in this environment. My recommendation, if you're looking for a powerful cross-platform development tool, look no further than REALbasic Pro. [alert admin]

Em@ilCRX 1.5.9 (Mac OS X)
I've received three e-mails just this morning from people that have been confused by the installation process! I hear you. The documentation and installation process always suffer at the hands of development. The documentation, and installation process are top priority at the moment, and you should see a radical improvement very quickly. Regarding the e-mail address thing. Your e-mail address is the way that we can issue temporary evaluation licenses. This information is secure, and NEVER shared under any circumstances. When you purchase the product, you get a security key for each e-mail address that you'd like to protect, and these e-mail addresses do not need to be registered anywhere with us. Thanks for the feedback. Stay tuned. [alert admin]

SQLite3Professional 2.0.1 (Mac OS X)
I've used this software on three major development efforts. On one of the efforts, I ran into a minor technical problem, which the developer corrected overnight. This product works great with SQLite2, SQLite3, and the new REALSQLDatabase databases. If you are a REALbasic developer, doing some serious database applications work, then this is an indispensable tool. Great product, great support, highly recommend. [alert admin]

REALbasic programmer's must have! ![]()

This software is simple to use, and does exactly what it says. If you want to develop a REALbasic application that is AppleScript scriptable, this is a must have tool. I've tested it with RB 5.5.5, RB 2006 r2, and RB 2006 r3, and it worked like a champ with every version. This application is only $20, and a competitor's product (Resorcerer) that does about the same thing is $249!! I had a minor, self inflicted use problem, and the developer was very helpful, and responsive. [alert admin]

Sp@mX 4.2.0 (Mac OS 9)
The comments below were conveniently taken out of context. This is the most obnoxious person that I have encountered in recent memory. I asked him repeatedly to send me a sample email that would predictably make the software fail, he ignored this request, and continued with his irritating obnoxious behavior. Please feel free to check our message board. I'm sure you'll see that other users (the ones with a shred of civility), have a far different experience than the one described by this jerk. Sp@mX 4.1.9 (Mac OS 9)
Hundreds of Sp@mX users have upgraded their OS X computers to Tiger, and are reporting that Sp@mX is fully functional, and that no problems were encountered using Sp@mX with Tiger. Under OS 9, a handful of users have reported a problem with an OutOfBounds exception which causes the program to stop. We are not able to reproduce this problem in the OS X, Windows, Linux, or OS X running Classic versions of Sp@mX. We are looking into the cause, and hope that we will come up with an answer for our OS 9 users. The most simple solution to this problem would be for all OS 9 users to upgrade to Tiger. [alert admin]

Sp@mX 3.2.7 (Mac OS X)
Sp@mX uses a combination of RBLs to check an IP address for known spammers, open relays, etc... If you've received a Sp@mX complaint, then your IP address was in the SMTP header as the message source, AND your IP address is listed in one of the RBLs as a known spammer, open relay, etc... If you believe that you are receiving reports in error, then I would suggest you look inward, and tidy your domain, and clean your domain's IP address(es) from the RBLs. [alert admin]

I hear you! You know, most people that are running Windows PCs don't even realize that they have a spam zombie running on their computer. Reporting the spam that originates from their computer to their ISP is really the only way to get their computer turned off (until the user fixes it). Em@ilCRX performs just such a function, along with providing some very powerful spam filters..., enjoy!
