ClockHasBee 1.0 (Mac OS X)

what?

I don't know what the previous 'reviewer' is talking about. This is an excellent screensaver - it is well written, does interesting things with large numbers of particles, and can be more than a 'clock' (By the way, the price ain't bad, neither!). I get positive remarks/questions about it whenever I use it on my machine at work. [alert admin]

Poisoned 0.516 (Mac OS X)

Re - Mixed Feelings

DomCaz - many popular songs on P2P are now being sabotaged by record labels - they host several different copies on fast servers that appear to be high bitrate, complete MP3s, but actually only are the first 10-30 seconds followed by noise. Poisoned has nothing to do with them. [alert admin]

7Office 3.0.7 (Mac OS X)

it seems a little suspicious..

All of the three comments below are word-for-word on the 'testimonials' section of their website, http://www.7office.com/testimonials.html. It also seems weird that the same people give several different glowing reviews of the product..

Just an FYI... [alert admin]

Spirographer 1.0.4 (Mac OS X)

good first version

Not bad! To be worth $20, this needs to have non-round gears (eg, the football-shaped one). Also, you can make the program window bigger, but the drawings don't get larger! This program would also make a good screensaver... [alert admin]

I currently use…

ICQ (bleah), and would love to use a clean, well-implemented, multi-service client such as this. However, there is one problem - no file transfer capabilities for ICQ or AIM! ..Are there any plans to implement this, or does anyone know of a client that does? [alert admin]

Quarto 1.0b2 (Mac OS X)

Er, instructions are…

available in-game (select Quarto Help from the Help menu, or hit command-?). They are also on the webpage (included here for the lazy): Objective: The object of the game is to place four pieces in a row (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal) that share some common trait (tall/short, dark/light, round/square, or hollow/solid). When you place the last piece in the row, call Quarto (by hitting the button) and you win. How to play: Game play is simple. One play chooses a piece for his opponent to use and gives it to them. The other player then places the piece on the board and presents the first player with the next piece for them to use. [alert admin]

iSwipe X 1.0b12 (Mac OS X)

Hmm.. when I…

try to download a file (eg, MP3 from Napster) , the program says 'done' but creates files of 0 KB - does this happen to anyone else? ..glad to see the color and splashscreen bugs are fixed - if only we could resize the columns in the Download Manager! [alert admin]
