Update through Things worked fine
I updated through the app. Not a problem for me. Great application, I use it daily for work and personal. [alert admin]

Things 1.1.3 (Mac OS X)
I've used several other GTD programs and this is the best. After using the demo for just a couple of weeks ... I found it well worth the price. There are a couple of things I would like to see added, and I've sent my request to the developer. Things helps me organize and get the work done. It works! [alert admin]

Apple Safari 4.0 (Mac OS X)
I didn't think it could be as fast as they said ... I was wrong. This is one smoking fast browser. The only thing that is missing is "extensions". I use Web Developer in Firefox for work ... so that is one pretty big draw back to keeping me using Safari here at the office. I will be using it at home though. [alert admin]

iPodRip 1.2.3 (Mac OS X)
I'll tell ya what a Rip is ...
Was a registered user before the company changed hands. I'll not pay you a dime. First time "upgrade" for registered users should have been free. I may have paid for further updates and support. But not interested now. [alert admin]

Corel Painter 11.0 (Mac OS X)
I skipped 10, and looks like I'll be skipping 11. Basically ... when it only takes you about 15 minutes to see features that are "new", and after testing, see no "significant" increase in speed on MY computer ... I'll can safely say "I'll pass". The #1 Reason why someone should buy Painter 11? They don't own any version of Painter. If you don't own a previous version ... You should buy Painter 11. I've been using Painter IX for several years and it's still working great for me. I've saved $400 by not buying the two most recent — annual — "upgrades". One thing that still [REALLY] bugs me about Painter is the stupid layers palette. It's absolutely HELLISH to use. It requires you do go into a small scroll box, and if you have more than 4 layers you must scroll around in this little box to find what layer you're looking for. Work with Groups of layers? It's even more of a nightmare. PULL THE LAYER BOX OUT OF THE HOLE AND MAKE IT RESIZABLE! You managed to do this with the color palette ... I would think it will be easier to do for the layers palette. I've been using painter since the very first version ... and so ... this has been bugging me for a long-long time! Is the Layer Palette better in Painter 11? NO. [alert admin]

Now working perfectly fine ... I'll be posting back with a review as soon as I get more time to play with TD 1.5.1. Kudos to the developers! [alert admin]

TextMate 1.5.8 (Mac OS X)
The price on the buy it now page of the developer says ... single user license (€39 ≈ $52) So, it's 39 Euros ... $52 bucks! I love the app, and will probably buy it ... but it's misleading to see the price listed in US Dollars and it's actually more expensive. $52 for a text editor is kinda steep IMO. But it does work very good. [alert admin]

Corel Painter X 10.0 (Mac OS X)
I can't think of many versions of Painter that I have not liked. Maybe one, several versions back ... However, the current versions 9x and by the looks of it, 10x are really the icing on the cake. I haven't had to upgrade my computer for several years. I'm just content with my current set up (works for me). However, if I were to purchase a new Intel Mac, and monster monitor, I would consider buying Painter 10x manditory. For now, Painter 9x is working fine. And after using 10x for a bit, and seeing that there are not a huge number of differences. I'm happy sticking with 9x until I do upgrade to a faster, larger computer. I've always used Painter, since v1.0, and will continue to support the best painting program in existance. Painter rocks ... no matter what version you use, always has! [alert admin]
