ChronoSync 3.3.6 (Mac OS X)
It absolutely handles iPhoto 08 The iPhoto Library 08 and Aperture Library are Package files instead of a folder. If synchronizing bi-directionally you need to have the new version of iPhoto on both Macs. To handle this you need to make some changes in your ChronoSync document. In the Options Panel check Dissect Packages and make sure Ignore invisibles and Preserve comments are both unchecked. In the Analyze Panel check Display All and Pkgs so you can tunnel down and see inside the packages. Now ChronoSync will handle the package file like a standard folder. If you have any troubles then contact me personally. joe@econtechnologies.com In regards to speed please remember that connection speed to the destination is the biggest factor. [alert admin]

ChronoSync 3.1 (Mac OS X)
Response to Unicode Characters Problem
Previously a user stated: The ONLY drawback with the application that I've been able to find is that it will not synchronize files who have names in Unicode (multi-lingual) characters. It will error out on those files. So, if you need to synchronize files whose file names are in not in English but in Unicode, you will have problems. I have not emailed the developer of this problem, but if that issue get's fixed then in my opinion this application really is the perfect sync solution on any platform. Kudos and in case you can't tell, highly recommended :-) This statement is NOT true. ChronoSync fully supports unicode filenames. If you're having problems, it more likely has something to do with the Windows file server you are communicating with. If you contact our technical support with the specific problems you encounter, we can determine the exact cause of your problems and whether or not there is anything we can change in ChronoSync to make things work properly. ChronoSync 3.0.1 (Mac OS X)
We have a license code lookup form on our website in the support area (http://www.econtechnologies.com/site/Pages/Support/customerKeycode.php). It is important to use your original purchase email address and to make sure our response wont get blocked by spam filters. Junk mail filters are a major problem affecting correspondence with our customers. Some institutional email accounts have spam filters in place that the users don't even know about. Every day, numerous support response get blocked and there is usually nothing we can do about it. If all else fails, you can always call us at (407) 365-4209. [alert admin]

There are no known issues with version 2.0.2. Any users that have problems should send an email to joe@econtechnologies.com. We encourage all feedback because complaints will only make our products better. A lot of support issues end up being problems not related to P&P. But whatever the case is please email me. We are going to update P&P again soon to facilitate better template downloading but this does not effect any users, only our template server. Furthermore if you are updating to P&P2 for the first time please email joe@econtechnologies.com to receive a free new license. Thanks, Joe [alert admin]

ChronoSync 2.0.7 (Mac OS X)
Bad rule logic? No. The rule logic is intended to limit the scope of scanning, not define it. Thus if you only want to pay attention to certain types of files (such as JPEGs), or you don't want to pay attention to other types of files/folders (such as .cache files or the System folder), you can easily dictate what ChronoSync does and does not pay attention to. A "Descends from folder" rule would require ALL levels of the hierarchy to always be scanned. This simply does not fit with the way the current scanning algorithm is designed. We may eventually change this but, in the meantime, the correct method of defining the scope of a sync is to a) use the include/exclude commands in the Analyze panel or b) setup multiple targets and place them in a container document. You can always contact me directly. joe@econtechnologies.com [alert admin]

ChronoSync 2.0.6 (Mac OS X)
At Econ Technologies we love all kinds of comments, good or bad. Good comments lets other users know about our applications and bad comments tell us what we need to improve. However we don't ever bash other Mac products. Remember it's Mac against Windows, not Mac against Mac. When purchasing software always take a test drive first, make sure you try the demo. ImageCaster 1.0.5 (Mac OS X)
If you need help ask. Send us an email so we can see what's up. joe@econtechnologies.com I can not locate a support email from Irwin, would like to know the details so we can solve the problem. Don't buy any software until you have tried it and liked it. But give us a chance to work it out and remember each users setup can be quite different. Joe [alert admin]

Portraits & Prints 1.3.3 (Mac OS X)
For some reason .dmg files will not mount on some users systems. Of the thousands of downloads we get a handful of users have reported this. Until we figure out what is wrong, just email me and I will send you a stuffed version of the file. joe@econtechnologies.com BTW: In just over a month a major update is coming, you won't be disappointed. Portraits & Prints 1.3.2 (Mac OS X)
We purposely keep the amount of templates that come with the download to a minimum. Templaes increase the download size and any template can be created with TemplateMaker. Better yet download free templates from our website or contact me and I will help you create what you want. joe@econtechnologies.com [alert admin]

With the power comes the curse
Sounds like network problems. ChronoSync does not connect or disconnect you to volumes, the OS does. It is difficult to comment in regards to speed since there are so many factors involved but overall satisfaction for our customers is very high in this area.

Just a comment. You can create any template you like. Images are modified and applied to templates, this way the image only needs to be modified once and then it can be printed multiple times. If you want to modify the same image differently then. 1) Then duplicate the image and add it twice 2) Copy/Paste it into the Catalog as many times as you like. 3) Since version 1.3.1 you can simply add images…

A major update, version 2.0, is in alpha. We are going beta very soon followed by the release a few weeks later. We have taken our time with this update since because there is a significant amount to it. Joe
