myBattery 0.6 (Mac OS X)
I love an application that does just what it says. This one does it. Though all the info displayed by the app can be found here and there if you go looking for it in System Profiler, it's nice to have your battery information as a graphical display all in one tidy window. I was especially stoked to visually see that my iBook battery is still at 81% load capacity after 252 cycles. Yes, a bit of a bummer that it's Tiger only. But as the author states on his web page, it had to be due to Tiger specific development options. Thanks for a handy utility. This one will remain in my arsenal. [alert admin]

LockPopCM 1.1 (Mac OS X)
Simple, yet highly effective way to lock a folder full of files, or even just one. After just one use, I'm already hooked. This is gonna make protecting documents much simpler for me. [alert admin]

ecto 1.0.5.3 (Mac OS X)
Loved Kung Log, Love ecto even more... I can honestly say that I've not had any problems running ecto on my machines both at home and at work. I entered my legally purchased serial number on both workstations and have never had issues with licensing, activation or upgrades in any way. If you're a serious blogger, with multiple blogs, ecto is the only solution worthwhile in my opinion. The only drawback to the app is that the developer hasn't implemented the ability to post titles under the Blogger API. That will make my day once it happens. Otherwise, totally recommended. BlogWorkz 0.6 (Mac OS X)
After my original commentary regarding nagware (see below), I was promptly contacted by the developer. He was very responsive to my critique, and was quick to make changes based on my comments. Obviously a developer who cares about his product. I admire that. As for usability of the product, I think it's the best stand alone solution available for Blogger. No other app has taken the time to implement the title field option, which is the biggest reason for not using any of them to me. BlogWorkz is maturing nicely as the developer learns more. I'd like to eventually see the ability to edit previous posts and upload images. That'd make it the smoker of Blogger clients. Oh, yeah... I'd REALLY like to be able to resize the window ;) [alert admin]

CC Gantt Charts 3.21 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
A very clever, yet simple, implementation of FileMaker gantts WITHOUT the need for a plug-in. The solution is unlocked, so those who want to learn a thing or two can muck about under the hood. Color me impressed! [alert admin]

BlogWorkz 0.5 (Mac OS X)
From the application: This program is donation-ware, meaning there is a silly nagscreen that will beep at you every 55 seconds. The only way to remove this silly nagscreen is by donating money
I know the idea is to get paid for your work, but as a user of the product, I'd rather open my browser, log in to Blogger and use their interface than be nagged every 55 seconds. If I were nagged at launch and quit, that might incentive if I liked the product, but less than every minute is annoying at best and has already turned me off to the product.
As a side note, I was nagged 2 times before I was even able to figure out how to set my blog info and test it.
My opinion, others may vary. [alert admin]

I use ImageWell to submit screen shots of work to users several times a day. It has taken the extra pain of having to convert from .pdf to .jpg formats to send an image. I dig the fact that I can compose an email, and while still in the Mail.app, drag a .pdf file to the menu bar icon, then drag it out of the pop down window directly into my composed message. I do agree with previous feedback that the UI needs some work to be more intuitive but otherwise it's a great app for a 1.0 with lot's of potential. [alert admin]

You didn't try very hard to get ahold of me. There is a contact form on my site, and I usually answer within a day if I can. In fact, I've already contacted you based on the comment you left on my site (which didn't give me much to go on, by the way). I don't understand why you felt you had to give a negative review here. You could have at least given me a…

I recommend that you contact the developer directly with issues, instead of -- or in addition to -- posting your problem here. Chances are you'd get a very quick response if you did. To simply state that the application doesn't work, and boinked your keychain doesn't do much to help provide you support. For the record; ALL keychain related functionality was removed from Yasu as of v2.0.2 - so, unless you previously used version 2.0.2 (but…

The download link above works just fine, as does the link to the site. I tested both of them myself.
However, if you still have problems try: http://jimmitchell.org/projects/cox/

It is worth noting that this poster never made any kind of effort to contact me (the developer) regarding this disasterous problem they have reported. It is also worth noting that aside from this "review," there have been no other problems reported of any kind with COX, be they from PPC or Intel users. We take bug reports very seriously at NoName, and would have responded to the claims of this reviewer immediately had he/she made…

What OS version are you running? If it's 10.3.8 or earlier, then a special build was made just for your circumstance. Please visit NoName Scriptware to obtain a copy.
If you're running OS X 10.2.x, then I'm sorry to say support for Jaguar has been dropped. The earliest version of OS X that will run COX is 10.3.0.
Feel free to contact me through my website if you'd like.

If that were the case, then ALL users would be reporting the same trouble, and I'd have the problem myself. I'm willing to bet it's a specific issue with your machine since you're the only one having issue. Please contact me using the support email address on my site, and I will help you resolve the problem. -- Jim (developer)

I've had no complaints from other users about 1.3.5 not working properly under 10.4.4, and I can verify that it works on my 3 test machines that have 10.4.4 installed. Please, feel free to contact me directly through my site about what your individual issue might be. Jim

From the Developer - "Shut down when finished" was not part of this release due to the fact that 1.3.5 is a maintenance fix that specifically addressed authentication problems regarding Apple Security Update 2005-009.
Yes, I've been able to "figure out" how to add the option, and have chosen not to do it until the next release (2.0) for very specific reasons.
At any rate, thanks for your inquiry about it, and keep an eye out for…

Apple Rocket (a.k.a. B.r-u,ce), I notice that you've posted this exact same comment over at MacUpdate. What concerns me is that you've made no attempt to contact me (the developer) directly to report an issue you claim to be a 'bug'. I am easily reached using contact methods on my web site and in the documentation. For the record, there is no code in Yasu that would do any kind of harm to the association between .dmg…

Actually, it's 'Clear System Cache' that removes the Launch Services cache and resets the 'Trusted Application' flag for apps that aren't Apple 'included' binaries. It is a bit annoying to have to deal with, agreed. Version 1.0 of Yasu will take this into account, along with allowing greater control over other several other maintenance routines, all while keeping the simplicity that Yasu is known for.
