FairMount 1.0.2 (Mac OS X)
Seems perfect -- it does one thing and does it very well. I don't need a lot of extra features, just access to the cleartext of the DVD. I also appreciate that it uses VLC for the real work, since VLC seems to be very actively maintained unlike other DVD rippers that have fallen by the wayside (cough MTR cough). [alert admin]

The USB-serial adapter adds the serial port...
The GPSMAP doesn't to my knowledge come with a serial port, what do I do then?? I have the adapter but no serial port to plug into the GPSMAP ???
