If you have used Toast, then Popcorn should have a familiar feel as the interface is similar. With video becoming more and more portable, this software is certainly helpful to convert that media. I took one of my DVDs that had several episodes of a show on it. I wanted to convert the episodes to video. Typically in some of the other conversion programs I have used, I had to select individual episodes to convert. This is not the case with Popcorn. I inserted my DVD into the drive, selected Popcorn as the application choice, selected my DVD, told the program I wanted it converted to AppleTV and pressed start. The program did the rest. The program also did a wonderful job of converting video to DVD. I had some home movies that I took with my Sony camcorder. I selected the file and selected the options to convert the file to DVD. The program gave me only three style of options for menus. This seemed to me a little limiting as other video programs have quite a few choices. The conversion process works great and the videos are in good quality for playback after conversion. Popcorn will remain on my computer as one of my favorite video converters. Just keep in mind that conversion times depend upon memory and processor speed. [alert admin]

iSale 3.0 (Mac OS X)
Initially I purchased 3.0 with out trying out the demo. I had owned version 2 and was very pleased with it. So when 3.0 came out I upgraded. It took some getting used to but I felt that the editing features were okay for a simple consumer program intended to just create auctions and place them on ebay. The isight intergration and iphoto intergration are wonderful for selecting images to display in my auctions. A simple copy and paste method put my pre-written text into the template and a few tweaks with formating allowed some text style changes. I use phone dial-up internet connection at my home, and that is a problem with the program I had several errors with uploading and never did get my auctions posted to ebay. The program would prefer a faster internet connection for uploading images (to .mac) and files (to ebay). With a slower connection a person may have problems using this piece of software. At my office I have DSL and it was only a matter of minutes that my auction was up and running. With ical intergration I am reminded when my auctions were placed and the duration for which they are on ebay. I admit that my very first auction with isale 3 has yet to be completed, so I have not been able to try out all the features. I am looking forward to using the contact which looks like it is intergrated with Mail from mac. The program will also keep your customer contact information in the address book. I did try the widget, but it could not located my auction. However I just put the auction up a few minutes ago so perhaps it needs to wait awhile before it can find it. I am not a big fan of widgets anyway. Need a manual, simply go to the iSale website and download it in PDF format. Would I recommend isale 3.0. Absolutly. I have been looking for a good multi-purpose auction tracking software since OS 9.0 and a program called A.I.D. iSale is a good product if you have a highspeed internet connection. iSale does not have every bell and whistle, but it does enough for now to make it a good program. As with anything there is always room for expansion. Besides the dial-up issue, my biggest complaint is I wish there were more templates. Overall this is a good program and well worth the money.
