VueScan 7.6.64 (Mac OS X)

Not working under OS 10.3 (Panther)

Vuescan 7.6.58 was working perfectly all the way through 10.2.8. Great product but it failed to scan after installing 10.3 Panther. So I downloaded latest version 7.6.64 and that failed also. Sent in both scan logs to developer Hamrick. I recommend Vuescan but not if you're running 10.3 (at least until problem fixed). [alert admin]

SilverFast Ai UmaxSDK 6.0.1d40 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

I filed a…

small claims lawsuit today against UMAX because of their refusal to continue to support their "Mac-compatible" scanners. All affected UMAX scanner owners should do this. Mac users shouldn't buy products from this company and PC users should be wary about this company's poor attitude toward new operating systems. [alert admin]

SilverFast Ai UmaxSDK 6.0.1d40 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

Forget UMAX! UMAX…

has categorically stated that they will NOT be providing any support whatsoever under OS X for their prior OS scanners. No drivers, nothing! I have written to their president, their legal department, and to other departments without getting any response. My local MAC dealer terminated their relationship with UMAX because of their dirty tricks to get us to buy more scanners. Apple also terminated their relationship according to my dealer. I just found out my father's company also has had unresolved problems with UMAX. This company is not deserving of anyone's business. Forget UMAX! [alert admin]
