Soundboard 1.0.1 (Mac OS X)
Version 1 Not ready for prime time
This product is very nice looking and mostly well-implemented but simply isn't ready. Playing tracks will randomly stop and troubleshooting the cause has been fruitless. Hoping Ambrosia is busy working on it. In the meantime, I've gone back to SoundByte. [alert admin]

Band-in-a-Box 12.0 build 31 (Mac OS X)
PG Music programmers are obviously Windows-centric. This is easily one of the ugliest, most ridiculously laid out program on the Macintosh. The installer still ignores Apple's guidelines YEARS after PG Music's knowing this. Wishing someone else would come along and blow these guys out of the water - they truly deserve it. [alert admin]

RealPlayer 11.1.0 (Mac OS X)
RealPlayer!? Isn't that a codec that my dad used to use in the 90s? : ) [alert admin]

Finale 2009a (Mac OS X)
This program is still the same mess it always was. I've had it since 1987 and in all that time you still can't produce a leadsheet without having to go through massively unintuitive steps. Shame on you MakeMusic! If you are new to music notation, go with Sibelius instead. It's not perfect but it least it's making progress unlike this hunk of bloatware. [alert admin]

Intuit QuickBooks Pro 2007 9.0.6 R7 (Mac OS X)
Do Not Purchase This Software!
Intuit misleads Macintosh users by making this software available. I convinced a PC user to switch to Mac based on the fact that this software was cross-platform. THERE IS NOT PARITY BETWEEN THE MAC AND PC VERSION!!! The Mac version is SEVERELY crippled in comparison and Intuit has no plans to rectify the situation! She literally ended up selling the computer after finding she couldn't fully switch thanks to Intuit's deception. [alert admin]

VisualHub 1.1.6 (Mac OS X)
It only took a few minutes to realize how great this program was. TRY THE DEMO! You won't be disappointed at how well it works and how much it can do compared to the scads of "one-trick pony" conversion programs out there. Well done, Tyler! [alert admin]

ViddyUp! 1.7 (Mac OS X)
Worth every cent and does a great job. If you want to have more flexibility in being able to convert almost any video source, you might want to take a look at VisualHub at visualhub.net - it's well worth the extra money. [alert admin]

Unison 1.7.6 (Mac OS X)
Without complete keyboard navigation this otherwise excellent program is a no go. Being forced to use the mouse is not cool! This and improved filtering could make this program the Usenet champ. [alert admin]

This is the ONLY reason I have not and will not buy this product. I can't understand why the developer just doesn't get this!

Erm...you mean the "Mark All Pages as Changed/Unchanged" command under the File menu? In the time it took to post this, you could've gotten the answer by searching in the Help menu. It literally took 2-3 seconds.

You forgot Premier...they ditch that one too for years. I don't get any warm fuzzies about the fact they brought it back way later. The damage was done. I trust Adobe on the Mac platform at almost the same level as M$ - you are certainly taking your chances. Aperture is just as good and detractors forget how young BOTH products are. They will always ultimate achieve parity so it makes no sense to go with Adobe…

This comment is so completely untrue that it smacks of intentional bad press. What exactly is your agenda, friend? This a great app at a great price and the developers put in a great deal of time and haven't charged for a major upgrade in a VERY long time. Take your lies elsewhere.

Same here. 2450 works like it always has with VueScan. Delete Prefs and do all the usual 'cause it ain't just VueScan.
