Nisus Writer Pro 1.2 (Mac OS X)
This is a great word processor.
Nisus Writer Pro has a well-designed, easy to learn & use interface. In particular, it has a superb implementation of named character, paragraph, and list styles - *much* better than MS Word. Highly recommended. [alert admin]

Red Snapper 1.3 (Mac OS X)
Red Snapper does what it claims it does, and does it well. Developer support is fast, helpful and friendly. A particular advantage of Red Snapper over several other separate-application solutions I tried is that you can capture pages that aren't cached and depend on userids, password, cookies and lord knows what other magic stuff.
Highly recommended.

Running version 1.5b6 (a later version0, a note attached to an application (specifically BBEdit) disappears when I quit the app, and reappears when I relaunch it, even after a boot. (If Sticky Notes is running, of course.)
