Apple iLife Support 8.2 (Mac OS X)
Software update ran again after the install of 8.2, as it always does after any install. Odd that it then read that 8.2 was installed instead of no new software available. I quit software update, relaunched it and ran it again. Then it gave me the correct message. No problems that I can tell right now though. [alert admin]

LaCie LightScribe Labeler 1.0.3 (Mac OS X)
A newer version (1.1) has been available as a free download since 2.26.06. It seems to be much more stable than 1.0.3. Templates are not much etter though. Link is at: http://www.lacie.com/download/drivers/LS_Labeler_1.1_Update.dmg [alert admin]

Linksys befsr41/befsr11/befsru31 1.46 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
Follow up post to my 7/7/2004 02:22PM PST
For me this fixed connectivity problems. I had been losing net access 3 to 5 times daily prior to this update. Either a hard reboot of the router and cable modem or a release/renw through the browser interface always took care of it but it should not have happened that many times DAILY. For this update I used the browser interface and upgraded from there. It upgraded without incident and I now have NOT had to reset the router for over 72 hours which is a record of sorts. Linksys befsr41/befsr11/befsru31 1.46 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
I have been resetting my router via the browser interface at least 3-5 times daily for the past few months. VERY annoying when transferring large files and connectivity is lost during the transfer. After having my ISP out to check incoming connection status (cable connection) they informed me that all was OK and the problem was on "my end". I sat down was ready to email Linksys tech support about the problem but decided to check VT first. For me the update to 1.46 applied without incident. It now remains to be seen if my connection will be more stable. I will follow up in a few days. [alert admin]

Acquisition 104.2 (Mac OS X)
whenever the program has been running for any lengh of time my cable connection goes dead. I am then forced to shut everyhing down and restart my router and cable modem to get connectivity back. Earlier versions did not do this. Very frustrating and I really liked this program up to this point. Anyone else having this problem mail me at j.bucholtz@insightbb.com. [alert admin]

LimeWire X 3.6.14 (Mac OS X)
Version 3.6.15 is out and won't launch
I dumped Limewire months ago and have been using Acqlite, Acquisition and Poisoned with good results. I thought I would give this another try based on some of the reviews below. I downloaded, installed and all seemed fine until I click the "later" button when asked to upgrade to Pro. Then the program crashes immediately. I went to the Limewire site and found 3.6.15 was out and had "addressed" the 10.3.1 Panther issues. I downloaded and installed it and got the same thing. I'll stick with the 3 above for now or maybe forever. [alert admin]

Camino 0.7.0 (Mac OS X)
Nov. 5th Build Launches under Panther
I got the Nov 5tth build last night and it launches perfectly under Panther 10.3 on a G4 AGP with a Powerlogix 1.4 GHz processor upgrade, Radeon 64Mb graphics and 51Mb RAM. This has been my default browser and will continue to be - just a little bump in the road with the nightlies. [alert admin]

Camino 0.7.0 (Mac OS X)
I am having the same trouble as below. It ran fine this morning, I downloaded the new build and now it won't launch at all. I trashed everything (after backing up bookmarks) and tried a clean install of the program but got the same thing. Now it won't run period! Still love the program and will continue to use it as my default as soon as this is figured out. [alert admin]

I am running a 20" iMac (Early 2006) with a Core Duo processor. I had absolutely no issues with the install of thereafter. If you follow the install instructions there should be no problems running anything. I am in commercial and digital printing and have always done my heavy work on the Mac side. However I use Windows for other things (some light and some heavy duty processor loads). Most recently, my teenage son was diagnosed…

All you have to do is check the box for "fit to dvd compression" and it will compress as needed, on the fly. I have used this option without any problems for as long as I can remember.

I have been using Toast 8 since it came out and to date have only ever made one coaster due to no sound and that was my error. I use Verbatim discs and either the Apple drive or a Lacie external drive (somethimes both at the same time for copies) and have had zero problems. I run a 20" iMac Intel Core Duo with first, Tiger and now Leopard. As per the previous reply, try…

I have had mine since last November. I run a 50" Sony LCD, BOSE Home Theatre and Dish High Def, dual tuner DVR among other things (lights and even my coffee maker). This goes all over the house and never a bit of trouble with it. And, it has been dropped on a hardwood floor two times minimum. Software running on an iMac 20" 2GHz Core Duo Intel machine, and again, absolutely no problems.
