Xupport 3.5.0 (Mac OS X)
because I've used Xupport for years and have found it to be one of my most valuable utilities -- but it's been almost impossible for me to find out when, or even if, there will be a Snow Leopard-compatible version. No one at Applicorn ever seems to answer e-mail, and I never hear about updates until I receive a note that one is available. I sincerely hope that a version for 10.6 will come out soon, but in any event, Applicorn's business model obviously leaves a great deal to be desired. It's almost as though they don't care if they have any customers or not -- and maybe they don't. [alert admin]

Apple Safari 4.0b (Mac OS X)
1Password will work fine if . . .
you go to this link http://support.agilewebsolutions.com/showpost.php?p=57202&postcount=14 and instead of following their advice to enter the value 5526.12, enter 5528.18. Also, at least some SIMBL plugins (for example, Safari Tidy 0.2.5) work fine if the bundle value is changed to 5528. (I can't speak for other SIMBL plugins, since I don't use any others, but unless there are other issues with them, in principle this solution may allow their use.) [alert admin]

Gimp.app 2.6.0 (Mac OS X)
I still can't get the native version to launch on my Mac Pro running 10.5.5. The latest X11 version (2.4.7) works fine, but when I try to launch the native version, I get the icon in the Dock and the application name appears in the menu bar, but nothing else happens. I know the bit about waiting for a while—I always have to do this when installing a new version of the app that uses X11—but with the native versions, no matter how long I wait, niente. This has been the case with all of the experimental native versions. It's a puzzle . . . [alert admin]

Gimp.app 2.4.5r2 (Mac OS X)
both this version and v 2.4.5r1 on my Mac Pro running 10.5.2, and in each case, the application name appears in the menu bar and the dock shows it as running, but nothing happens, no matter how long I wait. Has anyone else had this experience? I'm able to use the Gimp version that runs under X11 without problems. [alert admin]

off and on for several years with decidedly mixed results. However, when v 1.8 was posted, I thought I'd give it another try on Leopard, and I have to say that I was astonished at the results. Either I'm just having a very lucky day or Macspeech has really got its act together. I'd be interested in seeing others' reactions. [alert admin]

CUPS-PDF 2.4.6.1 (Mac OS X)
I can't seem to set a page size other than US Letter. I tried to use Tabloid, with no luck. And I can't set a custom page size. Has anyone else had this problem? [alert admin]

Same here. I've used iKey for years, but Script Software's support for it is now almost non-existent, and although Julian Miller keeps insisting on the iKey forum that a developer is working on an update, it's becoming increasingly obvious that nothing's going on. In the meantime, I've switched nearly all of my automated tasks over to Apple's Automator, and those that Automator can't handle in the way that I prefer have been given to Keyboard…

on the Versiontracker page that got you here. The link for the updater is under Step 3 (there's a different link for updating from v 1.7 than from 1.6.x; the latter, I think, requires an upgrade fee, but upgrading from 1.7.x is free).

I'd appreciate knowing what you did to get page sizes other than letter. I've tried repeatedly with no luck. Are you running Leopard? It used to work with Tiger, but since I upgraded to 10.5 it doesn't.

previous users can upgrade for TEN DOLLARS LESS than the full price after the mail-in rebate. Somehow this doesn't seem overwhelmingly attractive. Big deal!

Judging by the lack of speed with which they've addressed the Mac Pro problem, I'm not so sure that M-Audio tech support works on weekdays either!
