Netscape X 9.0b3 (Mac OS X)

Have you really tried it?

I keep reading these reviews that people say Navigator sucks. I just wanna ask, "Are you actually trying the program or just jumping on the bandwagon?" I have used ALL the browsers. Safari, Firefox, Navigator, iCab, Opera, CyberDog, etc... And for right now, Navigator is my default app. Why? Because it's fast and NOT buggy. If you really want to test it out: Download it. Immediately uninstall the Dom Inspector and WeatherBug add-ons. And then install the extensions AdBlock & Fasterfox. Go to 3-4 sites in Safari and then do the same sites in Navigator. For me, Navigator always wins. [alert admin]

StuffIt Expander 11.0.2 (Mac OS X)

What happened to this program?

Stuffit used to be great. Now it just sucks. It is SOOOOO SLOW. Example, we had a folder to ZIP and email to customer. Customer also wanted a Stuffit file incase the end-user couldn't open the ZIP. Original Folder = 92MB Compressed via Mac Built In Zip = 68.1MB in 15 seconds Compressed via Stuffit = 61.9MB in 390 seconds So to save 9% more space takes 26x's longer? [alert admin]

SpamSieve 2.6 (Mac OS X)

Works very well

When I took a few days off, I had approx. 200 messages between my three email accounts. With only one that snuck thru, it correctly caught the other approx. 180 spams messages that were sent. [alert admin]

GrowlCamino 1.00 (Mac OS X)

It's simple and nice

I have Windows coworkers jealous. They hate it when their browser always pops up asking what to do with the file and then popping up the downloads window. [alert admin]

Linotype FontExplorer X 1.0 (Mac OS X)

A True Must-Have!

After just a few days of testing, we replaced our Suitcase with this. The font-scanning of documents (to load pre-opening) is very cool. [alert admin]

PowerMail 5.2.2 (Mac OS X)

Very Nice.

There might be a few things to add or tweak, but all-in-all, I really like this app. I am considering switching all my email to PowerMail. (I had some issues with their homepage & support in the past. However, they were preparing for a new release and have fixed most of the homepage issues since then) [alert admin]

Camino 1.0rc1 (Mac OS X)

Kudos.

It is not the perfect app. Yet, it is not a massive bloated app like Netscape. How often do you see that many new features added in one new release? Kudos to the Camino Crew!! [alert admin]

Have you tried opening Disk Utility, inserting the Shuffle and reformatting it? That work for me in a similar panic.

Should be able to show only tracks without art

Look at the ART column. 0=No Art. 1=Has Art. (It would be nice to tell it to ignore songs with art)

Using too much processor?

On the first launch, I think it always has to scan the music library. I know on our library of +/- 5,000 songs, it took approx. 30 minutes. Hope that helps, Justin
