ffmpegX 0.0.9x r2 (Mac OS X)
Script for downloading and installing ffmpegX
Seeing as lots of people are having trouble downloading this handy app, and seeing as the "binary install" reminder doesn't go away properly, I'm sharing my script for installing this. It fixes the binary problem too! My script is posted on this page: http://www.versiontracker.com/php/feedback/article.php?story=20070509160020340#comments [alert admin]

Thanks for a great app! I've often bemoaned iMovie's slow startup, so this app's quick open-time is great. Some suggestions - maybe you could add a preference to start recording as soon as the app launches? That way a script or simliar could start the recording. Perhaps the app's icon (in the Dock) could change colour or shape when it's "on air"? I suppose you could also possibly add the controls to the app's dock icon. Thanks; again, a simple and great little app. [alert admin]

#/usr/bin/sh #Save this file as something like "ffmpegInstaller.command" and use the Terminal to change permissions on it (chmod 777) ... then run the file! It may run better using "sudo" # #The ffmepgX downloads directory will be put in the $REPOS directory: (default is /) REPOS="" #If you want this script to download all the right components, leave $DOWNLOAD as YES DOWNLOAD="YES" #If you want this script to install RealPlayer components, then leave $REALPLAYER as YES REALPLAYER="YES" # #Vars if rsync -E /dev/null…

either press File > Save once the "junk" has loaded, or go into the Terminal and paste the following lines in to download those files to your desktop: cd Desktop curl -O http://mjpeg.sourceforge.net/MacOS/mpeg2enc.intel curl -O http://optusnet.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/mplayerosx/ffmpegXbinaries20060307.zip
