Tickershock 1.3 (Mac OS X)

No

Seems to work at first, but it crashes after a while, and it definately eats your channels. The UI is stupid about changes (saving changes is a nightmare), but even if you survive that: I just lost about 100 feed definitions after a crash. [alert admin]

iSVN 0.9.4 (Mac OS X)

doesn't take an alternate location of svn

Fink install of svn; first screen asks for its location, but doesn't proceed. So: no go. [alert admin]

isightcapture 1.0 (Mac OS X)

Revolutionary

Works as described. Here's a script to use it: <pre> #! /bin/bash while [ true ]; do sudo /Library/opt/bin/isightcapture /Users/jand/Sites/iSight.jpeg; date; sleep 5; done </pre> I wonder what that -n option does. [alert admin]

CocoaMySQL 0.5 (Mac OS X)

best, but not with 4.1

Indeed, the best MySQL client (other contendent is YourSQL). But: I can no longer use it with MySQL 4.1..., with an account that has a password. Is this a known problem? Is there a version 0.6 in the making? [alert admin]

Remember that, on Windows, A/V is only supported under Windows XP, and not any other Windows version. [alert admin]

/Developer/Utilities/FileMerge

And what, might I ask, is the difference with FileMerge, the excellent diff and merge tool supplied by Apple on the Developers CD which comes with every Panther distro? [alert admin]

books2burn .06 (Mac OS X)

My respects

Fabulous. I copied tekst from extensive HTML pages I created to the included editor (selected in Safari, than pasted in the editor). The editor is somehow HTML aware, and so is text to speech, I think. Works, is blazingly fast (1 minute to create 20 minutes of speech on my 17" PB). Now get me this to put an entires week of MacFixit and MacInTouch on CD for my car, without me copying the stuff by hand, and I will come (Web Services anyone? Can we use RSS for this?). (On a side note: the UI needs to grow) [alert admin]

Sorry, this just doesn't cut it. Use CVL instead (www.sente.ch). [alert admin]
