FairMount 1.0 (Mac OS X)
Wow, I've been waiting for something like this for a long time. . . This basically means now that if you have a Dual Layer DVD Burner and DL DVD's you can pretty much backup any movie in one step using Toast or DVDRemaster, and if your computer has enough hard drive space you can just copy the DVD straight onto it. I know I'll be using it to make backups of movies I already own, but what's to stop people from say, going to Blockbuster or using NetFlix to rent and make really cheap copies of movies? In the past you had to use MacTheRipper to rip the DVDs to your hard drive. This was much slower (if you just wanted to make a straight copy to DVD), and didn't always work with copy-protected DVDs (seemed more like hit-or-miss). I urge people to keep their DVD backups legal (if not, keep it to yourself), because I don't want a few bad apples spoiling it for the rest of us. Now if only HandBrake would just streamline the process of preserving 5.1 surround sound when compressing DVDs we'd be set. (I guess it also wouldn't hurt of DL DVDs were a bit cheaper too.) Apple Broadband Tuner 1.0 (Mac OS X)
I've attempted to use this since day one, and each time I come back to try it out the installer/uninstaller gives me a kernal panic a few minutes later. I otherwise NEVER get kernal panics. You wouldn't think that such a simple installer would do this, but thats been my experience. Just wanted to give a heads up. Using a dual 2.5Ghz G5 running Tiger. I'm currently at Mac OS X 10.4.7, but I've tried to use it with many previous versions as well. [alert admin]

Delicious Library 1.5 (Mac OS X)
I only have one borrower listed in my "Borrowers List", and they have 2 movies checked out. However, when I "check in" the movies and/or delete the user, the program does NOT remember it. The next time I launch the program the user is back, and the same 2 movies are checked out. This is getting to be extremely annoying. Is this a known issue/bug, or am I doing something wrong? Galerie 5.0.1 (Mac OS X)
Currently, Galerie does NOT work correctly under Tiger. There is a bug in the program which prevents the use of a templates. When selecting the templates folder an error is produced. This has been documented within Gelerie's form, and based on the comments of the programmers, it looks like it will be a little while before we see a fix. [alert admin]

Extra Mouse Pointer at center of Screen after update...
ya, the problem with the cursor showing up on your screen is almost always associated with having the divx quicktime component installed. Make sure you remove it when playing. Also, if you purchase and install Roxio Toast 7 it installs a version of divx that does NOT cause the cursor to appear. But that's just my experience.
