Dossier 1.2.5 (Mac OS X)
I'm not sure why this p.i.m does not get more attention. It's a stable, mature (for a 1.x release) and full-featured journal, database and publishing platform that can change the way you work. After trying out many for months (including macjournal and devonthink and Current/Flow, probably the three apps in the same class with this one) I went with Dossier because its streamlined/without bloat, a great text editor, and easily stores and publishes documents. All of them offer something slightly different, but as a writer who just wanted to get my work done in an elegant, straightforward and organized way I found Dossier does everything I need (write text in a pleasing, simple window; publish to the web; publish to Mail; organize all my documents and info; and export into multiple formats--which could be better and trust will be in the upcoming 2.0 release). In short, this is a great app that deserves a wider user base and I recommend you try it. The developer is committed and responds quickly. [alert admin]
