Poser 6sr2 (Mac OS X)
Poser Has Potential But Needs LOTS of Work... ![]()

For quick and adjustable reference for drawing and painting, it will suffice. However, as others here have mentioned, the UI is garbage and the level stability is unacceptable for an OS X application, especially for commercial software which retails for nearly $200. And this is on two machines which beat not only the minimum specs, but also the recommended, and by a healthy margin. I'll also add that anatomy in the hands is incorrect in several situations within the provided poses; there are just certain positions in which the fingers will not move unless you are a circus freak or one of the X-Men. For an example, take a look at the Tight Fist model, palm out, thumb facing up, compare it to your own, then to several anatomy texts, both art and medical. Sure, the Poser model of the hand may look cool, but for professional-level product, it needs also to be correct. For comic book artists and the like, this is decent software to add to your library of reference, especially because it does provide adjustments on the fly, and is definitely a step up from using wooden models. However, find it on the cheap, used or eBay if you can, and keep your anatomy books handy. [alert admin]

Ah, okay. You can update one item at a time from the menu, however you cannot Sync before registering. This is definitely doable :-) I do wish it was explained a bit more in the advert to avoid confusion, but, all-in-all, a great little app. I can now transfer all my Entourage stuff with ease! Thanks much. [alert admin]

iPDA 3.0.1 (Mac OS X)
It states on the developer's site you can try the app before you purchase: "- Try before you buy — you can transfer anything to your iPod prior to purchase" However, it does little of anything, and definitely doesn't allow syncing or transferring to my iPod. When they fix this issue to reflect the advert on their site, I'll update my review. [alert admin]

*SIGH* iBook G4 1.2 goes to sleep, and, upon waking, iScroll is done. I can't recommend this application. It's just an annoyance if It doesn't work after , and I sleep my iBook fairly often. I'm not going to reboot each time I sleep the computer in order to get one utility to work. [alert admin]

Radeon Enabler 1.1 (Mac OS X)
Still No 7200 ( original OEM Radeon ) Support
The 7200 remains the only OEM card not supported unsupported by this software. Considering it's a faster chipset than the 7500, I'd think it's worth the added support, but apparently not =/ [alert admin]

sixtyforce 0.7.5b2 (Mac OS X)
This is great software. Beta 2 runs a tad more quickly on my machine. CorradoKid, I'd like to know what kind of hardware you are running. Zelda: Ocarina Of Time plays just fine on my G4, overclocked to 533, with an also overclocked 133 bus, and a Radeon Mac Edition vid card. I'd think that to be the low end of what most users are running for this kind of emulator. I do believe this software would kill a similarly equipped G3. The only problems I have with this software are the choppy audio, and that it doesen't support 1024x768 resolution, like another emulator I've tried, however, in terms of overall performance, sixtyforce, is, by far the best there is. Each revision shows a vast improvement over the other. Gerrit, I've paid the shareware fee, keep up the good work! [alert admin]

Wacom tablet 4.75-5 (Mac OS 9)
After reading all of these comments, as well as having similar issues, I wrote them a nasty gram, telling them to either get off their asses and do something, or refund my money. I have a feeling if more individuals would stop coddling them and send them similar emails, they might actually see the big picture. Sometimes you have to get a liitle mean for things to sink in. I also think consumers put up with too much these days from companies. [alert admin]

PodMaster 1000 1.0a (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
mean ugly interface? Looks like an iPod to me. Anyhow, does EXACTLY what it's supposed to, and with a great deal of stability, Thanx for such an excellent utility, keep it up. [alert admin]

Again, I'm certain really good work has beenmade with the product, however, it stands that more people have issues with the stability and quality of the UI than not, thus far. My airbrush doesn't cease to operate when I open InDesign or Illustrator CS2. And, for basic human poses, the anatomy ought to be correct. If I want aliens and broken bones, I can make them myself. I thought my criticism was fair and objective, but it seems to…

So you're saying none of the Poses or figures wich SHIP WITH POSER are providedn by the spftware company? You're saying that they're somehow magically bundled, at some point, between the packaging and when it arrives on the buyer's doorstep? And the GUI and stablilty issues? It's best not to have InDesign open at the same time as Poser, as it seems to dislike having CS2 apps around at the same time; one or the other will…
