Mactracker 4.0 (Mac OS X)
I've used this application since the earliest versions and it has proven invaluable in my searches for different configurations of Macs. The information is concise, complete and, as can be witnessed by this update, regularly updated with new information. The author does a masterful job and tons of hard work getting all this info out to Mac users and collectors. It does a great job of documenting Mac history. Terrific app! [alert admin]

PulpFiction 1.2.2 (Mac OS X)
better luck tonight. After 3 downloads this afternoon with none that would start, I downloaded it for a 4th time tonight and now it starts! Nothing on my system has changed. Perhaps the dls were bad? Now to try it out! [alert admin]

PulpFiction 1.2.2 (Mac OS X)
ver. 1.2.2 doesn't even start on my imac G5 2 gHz 2 meg of ram. Nothing happens at all. 1.2.1 still works fine. Too bad. An upgrade after all this time would have been nice. [alert admin]

GeburtstagsChecker 1.5.3 (Mac OS X)
I've used this application from its first release, I believe, and have come to rely on it. It has saved my skin many times. The interface is simple and stays out of the way, the options allow you to set the number of days in advance for the notice, the missed dates, and lots of other useful features. If you set it in your login apps you'll never have to worry about forgetting a date agains. I use it for more than birthdays. I use it for anniversaries, special occasions, etc. Best of all, the price couldn't be better. A truly useful and elegant piece of software! [alert admin]

Goldberg X 2.5 (Mac OS X)
I am SO glad Goldberg has returned! For small, quick editing chores on images this is the best application I've found. I was so disappointed when it disappeared after the release of Tiger, and so glad now that it's back. For resizing, cropping and other small tasks, this is the quickest and most efficient utility I've found. Great workd! [alert admin]

Webseecon 2.1 (Mac OS X)
The reviewer who called this infectious was absolutely right! My only experience is with v.2.1 and I just love it. It has worked perfectly for me and is priced right for a small utility. It certainly makes it easier to find an url in a folder now. Not something someone really needs, but something I don't think I'd want to live without now. Great app! [alert admin]

I've owned an earlier version for about a year. I dl'd this update and found that the authors had ehanced it's options and utility greatly. I really do find this to be an easy to use app that fits nicely in my group of movie editing apps. On another note, I had a problem with the upgrade that I needed to get tech support for. I had a reply in less than an hour, and a solution a half-hour after that. That is tech support that I would wish other companies had, and which in itself makes this application one that I'll keep using and supporting. Wonderful work! [alert admin]

Flick! 1.0 (Mac OS X)
I didn't try the runtime version because I own FP7. The version I tested worked wonderfully. It is a nicely designed, quick and relatively intuitively designed filemaker db. It seemed to be really full-featured and covered all the categories that I, as an artist, would want in a db of my work. Two complaints. First, I wish I could have tried it more than 9 times. The limiting of a few features may be a good trade off if the authors were to make it a time-limited demo or at least giving it more tests, say 20 instead of 9. The second concerns the price. $50 US or $90 AU is a lot of money for most artists. Alas, despite what the world thinks, most artists do not make a living off their art, or if they do, it's a pretty meagre living, supplemented by teaching or other types of work. Art really doesn't pay unless one's talent is combined with a lot of luck and endless self-promotion. Anyway, that's a personal complaint. Most artists will hold onto their scraps of paper rather than pay that amount for a database, I think. Overall, a nice a db, though. [alert admin]

SilverNetworks IRC Client 0.3 (v9) (Mac OS X)
...I did give it a try. A couple of times, in fact. The problem that I encountered was that after the program started and I connected to a network (which it seemed to do fine) the application locked up solid and wouldn't respond to anything. I couldn't even move the windows. So, other than connecting, there wasn't much I could test. I'm using 10.3.6 on a G4 with 1 gig of RAM. It could be ok, but I'll wait for another version down the road to test again. The interface that I got to see looked fine, though. Once the functionality improves it could be fine. Keep working on it! [alert admin]

WindowShade X 3.5 (Mac OS X)
but it doesn't recognize my password from the earlier version and now I'm waiting for a response from Unsanity. What's with that? Great app - it would be tough to work without it. It's become indispensible to me. [alert admin]
