spooky 1.6.1 (Mac OS X)
Just tried this out on my machine, running 10.4.11 (all current updates), and had a lot of troubles. I still haven't gotten it to work properly. The issues I saw: 1) Trying to run (or even edit) these scripts on a machine that doesn't have Microsoft Office installed is very difficult--you just keep getting prompted to locate Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. I eventually managed to force my way in (by just choosing TextEdit every time I was asked where one of those items was) and comment out the lines that refer to the Office components. 2) After doing that, and saving as an application (so I can just launch it from the dock), whenever I try to run the "spooky.scpt" I get an error that reads: NSReceiverEvaluationScriptError: 4 3) So, next, I tried saving it as a script again and putting it in the AppleScript menu instead of the dock. In that case, nothing happens when I choose the script from that menu. (No error, nothing.) So I'm stumped, and really disappointed, as I was really hoping this would work (to stop my wife from complaining that the Mac doesn't have a "Maximize" button!) [alert admin]

Thanks to the fact that spooky is open source, I managed to work around these issues and get it working for me. I've submitted my changes to the author.
