FGDataBackup 1.0 (Mac OS X)
Great software functionality, but the interface...
I have been looking for an archiving solution for a while, a nothing else that I have found works as well as this application to archive large quantities of data over several DVDs! The only suggestion I might make is about the interface; although I can tell that some thought and some work went into it, I couldn't help but be distracted! Obviously, others may feel differently, but I thought I would add my two cents! [alert admin]

BitTorrent 4.4.1 (Mac OS X)
If you're having issues on MacIntel platform...
I tried using several versions of the BitTorrent client on an iMac Dual Core 2.0Ghz, and all versions gave me trouble in some form or other. I know that a lot of people enjoy Azureus, and it has been recommended several times here, but from my first hand experience, Transmission is by far a better and more stable application. If you've had some issues with other torrent clients, give Transmission a try! [alert admin]
