Path Finder 4.0.1 (Mac OS X)

Worth the wait.

Hard to believe that PathFinder could be packed with so many features, yet not feel bloated. Excellent work Cocoatech Devs =P [alert admin]

NoteIt! 1.2.1 (Mac OS X)

Incredibly helpful and a great time-saver.

I gotta say, i have been looking for something that would accomplish this task so efficiently for quite some time. Until now i had been SMS'ing myself with text and URL's. NoteIt! is not only quicker and more efficient, it creates a syncable .txt memo on my Treo AND saves money by using Bluetooth instead of SMS messaging. [alert admin]

Adium X 0.83 (Mac OS X)

had to revert back to .82....

had 2 issues,
1. Began to hang my system
2. half my list would not load...
looking in my Activity Monitor.app, i noticed 3 instances of Adium script loader eating up a bunch of CPU and memory... i'll look into narrowing down which scripts are culprit and see if that is the cause of all the trouble. [alert admin]

Recent Tunes 2.0 (Mac OS X)

Quick Fix..

  1. Quit Recent Tunes from the menu bar
  2. Open up Apples “Property List Editor.” (you must have Apples Developers Tools installed - Link for more info)
  3. In Property List Editor open up the Recent Tunes pref file, com.freshsqueeze.recenttunes.plist , located in your home pref folder.
  4. once open, look for “RT2.0SongList”. This is an Array. Click the drop down triang;e to expand this array and notice the “Dictionary” entries which are listed as 0,1,2,3 … etc
  5. DELETE all of these “dictionary” sub-elements.
  6. Quit Property List Editor and Re-Launch Recent Tunes Start Pumping some iTune’s and hopefully you’re good to go!

Note:

This has worked for me now numerous times no for me, so hope fully it will for others. I’ve also noted in my experimenting that the failure of Recent Tunes seems to occur after the App itself has been Quit. I;ve Also noted that the here forementioned preference file is only written to (ie new tracks written to file) after Recent Tunes quiting…

Speed Download 3.0.11 (Mac OS X)

Fixed my (minor) issue...

With this update, Speed Download is running perfectly and without issue so far. I basically tried this app for the hell of it after previous bad experiences with download managers. Not only does it provide fast downloads, it also offers a plethora of handy features. Hightly recommend!!

Seems to have fixed an issue where SD would not remember my User/Pass while uploading to remote SD i was having when uploading files to a remote SD user. Also, this update seems to have resolved a persistent (GUI?) context error i noticed in my console.log:
/Applications/Network/P2P/Speed Download 3/Speed Download 3.app/Contents/MacOS/Speed Download 3: CGContextFillRects: invalid context

dockMover 1.0.1 (Mac OS X)

on the terminal command....

good tip. though, as the "killall" command is case sensitive....
killall dock
should read
killall Dock

If you want to list the process to see, expand the terminal as wide as you can and type: ps aux | grep -i dock

Adium X 0.80 (Mac OS X)

Nothing is perfect, but this is close...

Far and away the best messaging client I have ever used on any platform. I truley cannot think of anything that i would like changed or added to AdiumX. With a great development team and a large community and just does not get any better, for any application. and oh yea.. it's freeware and open source! [alert admin]

      ??

same problem here w/Tiger. Take a look @ your console.log... if you are receiving " 2005-06-03 15:14:22.471 Recent Tunes[16032] *** NSTimer discarding exception '*** -[NSCFArray addObject:]: mutating method sent to immutable object' that raised during firing of timer with target 3189c0 and selector 'checkCurrentTrackID' " type messages over and over again, we're having the same trouble. For me, deleting all the preferences, and then re-opening and filling them out in the app again seems to get it working again…

Wish it did video, but still good

      An explaination and workaround...

Unfortunatly, unless you have some sort of fiber optic OC48 local area network, there is no cure for this ailment. Without getting too technical, the bandwidth(data transmission rate) used for Video is much greater than that of audio. However, there are a few video applications out there such as VLC (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/14738) that can de-sync the audio and video so that the video will play slighly behing the audio,…
