Microtek ScanMaker ScanWizard 7.11 (Mac OS X)
I cannot beleive my last review was removed as well as another I saw...thanks versiontracker. Anyway, you'll have a better chance of getting this to work with Panther if you just stick a pipe bomb in your computer...oops am I allowed to say that? WHY would they now put a JAGUAR update out, seeing as how PANTHER is out now? Can't they just hire someone with some brains to write a mac driver? I will admit, it works FINE under CLASSIC mode...and the jaguar version (which was way too late) worked ok. But not everybody even has OS9 on their systems anymore. The installer is PATHETIC. Does not let you choose a location. Does NOT include an un-installer...I had to remove a lot of files MANUALLY. This scanner was the first and LAST microtek product I will ever buy! [alert admin]

Microtek ScanWizard Pro 7.10 (Mac OS X)
This is the biggest JOKE ever. It's bad enough there is a KNOWN bug forbidding users to scan over a certain size. Now that Panther is out, it won't work at all. SLOW download, the installation program is a joke. had to force quit the scaner finder. And since they were kind enough NOT to give an UN-INSTALLER, I had to do a search for date modified, and get rid of everything it dumped on my hard drive. Since buying this scanner, I've been SICK of booting classic every time I want to scan. I want my money back. I will NEVER EVER buy another Microtek product again. [alert admin]

Explorer was always my browser of choice until 5.2.3 I didn't mind the frequent freeze-ups because of OSX's force quit. I didn't even mind the way it doesn't display graphics until I shrink, and re-size a website to view it. What I do mind is the fact that I set my prefs to save my downloads to an external drive...and EVERY time I quit, and re-load explorer, it re-sets the prefs to save to my start-up drive. You think with a program this popular, they'd notice stuff like that. [alert admin]

GameRanger 3.5 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
Added support for premium only games...should there ever be any??? Will this include commercial games? If so, I think that would be REALLY sad...some people like myself only play games a few times a month. Now that GR is pretty much the only online mac gaming community, I don't want to be stuck paying just to play a game every few weeks. Or maybe I'm taking that the wrong way? [alert admin]

macam 0.8 (Mac OS X)
if you use PANTHER do NOT USE THIS PRODUCT. It's been a fantastic product for a long time now, but I found myself re-installing Panther 5 times last week because every time I'd finish setting up my apps, the system would no longer function....AT ALL. OSX would no longer boot. I couldn't start internet explorer, i couldn't instant message anyone. After 5 times, i narrowed it down to this driver, booted from OS9, and deleted it. Now everything is fine. FIX THIS PLEEEEEEEZ!!!!! [alert admin]

Maya Personal Learning Edition 5.0 (Mac OS X)
Application Launch Failure The application "Maya" could not be launched because of a shared library error: ")<maya.bin><maya.bin><libFoundation.lib><>" WHAT THE HECK IS THIS? I tried un-installing Maya 4.5, I tried fixing disk permissions. I can't, for the life of myself, get this program to launch...this is all i get. I checked Maya's web site and many people are having this problem, but nothing to fix it. I'm not going to pay $150 to call their tech support for an incident call. [alert admin]

Crystal Caliburn 2.1.5 (Mac OS 9)
I'm really glad to see this finally ported to OSX. I'm running Jaguar on an eMac and this runs beautifully. I put in my serial # from version 2.1.5 and it works like a charm! [alert admin]

America's Army 1.9 (Mac OS X)
I can not beleive how horrid this game runs. I'm on an eMac 700 G4 with a Geforce2 MX 32 card and 640 megs of ram. I know this is the bottem end requirements, but I have EVERYTHING turned ALL the way down to super low, and the game is still FAR too slow to make a kill. I know my computer isn't a high end gaming system...but SHEESH, even UT3K and Spearhead run well enough to play on this thing. As for the game, it looks cool like a lot of fun, so I'd recommend it to anyone with a FAST mac. [alert admin]
