Apple Mac OS X 10.3.7 (Mac OS X)
Booting from 10.3.7, I plugged in an external FireWire drive (ACOM Data Combo FireWire400/USB 2.0). I then ran the combo updater on the drive. After this, I plugged the drive back into my TiBook 867. It would see the drive, and I could select it to boot from, but it would consistently fail to boot about 1 second into the boot process. This is the exact same failure as I had seen with some FireWire drives and 10.3.6. My suspicion is that the 10.3.7 FireWire drivers are still buggy. I was able to rescue the drive by doing an "Archive & Install" of 10.3.0 then applying 10.3.5 again. ACOMData's website has no driver updates yet. [alert admin]

10.3.7 Breaks HP AIO Driver -- how to fix
10.3.7 killed my HP D145 printer driver software. (This is not surprising, since this driver is one of the worst I've ever used in over a decade of computing...) However, I was able to get it to work again, and wrote up a step-by-step solution: Link [alert admin]

HP OfficeJet D series 6.3.4 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
10.3.7 -- how to make it work w/USB
After updating to Mac OS X 10.3.7, I was no longer able to print. I followed these steps to make it work again:
1. Use the HP Unistaller (located in the HP folder). It seemed to hang, but I let it run for over an hour, then finally chose "Quit" from the dock menu (hold down the mouse button). It then popped up a window claiming success.
2. Re-download the driver. (Hint -- in Safari, go to preferences and uncheck the box labelled "Open Safe Files after Downloading". Then, drop the .hqx file onto Stuffit Expander (the latest version).
3. Download Pseudo Link
4. Mount the HP installer image, then Drag and drop the Installer program onto Psuedo -- this will launch the installer with admin privs.
5. Follow the installer.
I still think the HP drivers suck, which is a shame since I really really like the hardware of my HP D145. [alert admin]
