Cocktail 4.5 (Mac OS X)
This Edition of *censored*tail requires Leopard
WOT ? The previous edition worked fine under Snow Leopard. Along comes the new version 4.5 and it says it requires Leopard, and so will not launch under Snow Leopard. What exactly is going on here ?? [alert admin]

Chax 2.2.2 (Mac OS X)
When I try to install it, I get the message "incompatible system version, needs at least 10.5 to run", and I am running 10.6.1, so what is the problem, exactly ? Do we need a Snow Leopard patch ? Is there an update in the pipeline ? [alert admin]

I tried to use Subliminal Message, but found that the pull-dwon File menu did not pull down, NOR (more importantly) I could not type any text in to the message box ! I am using OS 10.4.8 on a 1.25 GHz Al-Powerbook. Seems like some serious bug to me. By the way, I downloaded it through VersionTracker and from the developer site. Same in both cases. [alert admin]

PDFKey Pro 2.0 (Mac OS X)
not available in the United States of America.. ? (ERROR)
I am a registered user of PDFKey Pro 2, and I am trying to download the latest version 2.5.1, either from VersionTracker or from the developer's web site. Every time that it looks as though the dmg is going to download, the feed is re-directed, and I get the message: US Customers: Sorry, PDFKey Pro is not available in the United States of America. Griffin Final Vinyl 2.0 (FV227) (Mac OS X)
I tried a test recording using my iMic with a headset, and after about 1 second it said "An exception occured while recording. Recording has beeen stopped". This is an entirely unhelpful message. I have no idea what to do about it, nor why there is a problem. [alert admin]

File Juicer 2.9 (Mac OS X)
almost immediate crash with PDF file
I have a PDF (presentation) which contains some images that I would like to extract. Adobe Professional does not export them. I thought FileJuicer might. BUT it crashes a few seconds after dropping the PDF file on to the open FileJuicer dotted square..... what is the next step?? :-( [alert admin]
